Lizbeth hand-cooked his meal. She made juicy burgers will all the fixings, and everything Dean liked. It was his first meal after getting out from hell, for goodness sakes. He happily devoured them like a wolf, barely remembering to breathe in-between bites. He thanked her for everything. They drank beer and had brief yet tense chats about what they had done in those four months that Dean was dead. He constantly asked if Beth, or Bobby, or Sam had made a deal. Which of course, they hadn't.
"What about Sam?" Dean asked again.
"I'm not sure. He hasn't been answering my calls lately." Lizbeth pulled his clothes out of the box she had stuffed them in.
"He isn't..." Dean didn't bother saying 'dead'.
"No. He was in Ohio about a week ago."
Dean gave a relieved sigh.
