Ant's POV
I made sure I had all my luggage for my road trip to Mississippi today. I brought everything downstairs and sat it by the front door while I waited for Al and the rest of my team to pick me up. It's been a few days since I had that argument with Taylor and she still isn't talking to me.
I honestly didn't mean to call her the wrong name and it was nothing like how she took it. I was frustrated at the time and that was just the first name that came to mind. I hear so many bitches names in a day, it still wasn't an excuse to call her that though. I told her I didn't mean to, but she still had an attitude about it. I really don't want to argue especially with her being pregnant and all so I let her be.
"You leaving?" She walked into the living room.
"Yup." I took a deep breath.
"Bye." She turned her nose up in reaction to my stale response.
"I'll see you when I get back." I slightly smiled.
"Yeah." She walked away.
Once my ride was here I left the house without giving Tay her hug and a kiss, not even telling her I loved her. I never went without doing so, but today I did. I went straight out the house and into the van. Maybe when I get back she won't be mad anymore.
"Took y'all long enough." I hopped in.
"Keon not coming?" Al asked.
"Not this time. It's his sons second birthday today." I responded only telling half of the truth.
"Aw alright. We gotta stop to get something to eat before we hit the highway."
The driver stopped to get some grub and then he got on the road to Mississippi. I ate a chicken sandwich and kept quiet as everyone else in the van talked. Once I finished eating, I put both my earphones in and vibed out to my new song that I'm supposed to be performing. Since I freestyle everything, I sometimes have to go over the song so I can remember what I said.
I looked out the window and bobbed my head as I got an idea of how I wanted to perform this. The chicken sandwich and fries that I had ate was beginning to settle in my stomach and my eyes got heavy. I yawned and laid my head against the window as we entered another city. I closed my eyes to take a short nap. I had dozed off and was getting some good sleep in. My personal phone started ringing and I slowly opened my eyes. Cory was calling, I wonder what he wants.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Ant?" He asked as if he didn't know it was me.
"Yuh."
"Taylor in the hospital, she fell down the stairs. We all here with her, but I thought I'd let you know." He told me.
"She what?! What hospital?" I sat up from my slouched position.
"Flint, the one by your house."
"I'm on my way." I hung up the phone.
"Turn around I gotta go home." I told everybody.
"You forgot something? We can't turn around."
"Mane, we gotta go back to Houston. Fuck that show."
"You can't miss this show Ant." Al told me.
"My girl fell down the steps. Y'all know she pregnant so turn around." I demanded.
They all looked at me with their mouthes open. The driver was acting like he didn't know what to do. I gave them a few seconds to process this, but nobody did as I told them.
