Ant's POV
It's a few days after the proposal and Taylor is staying in town for the remainder of the week. All she's been talking about is the wedding and I'm glad she's excited about it. It makes me so happy to see that she's happy. This was one of the best decisions I've made and I'm eager to move forward with Taylor.
Currently, we're in my backyard at the pool just chilling.
"Baby, I want you to get in with me." Taylor said as she swam around.
"I'm good. You can get out though so I can whoop you in basketball again." I paused from reading my book.
"I'll pass, you were being too rough with me." She looked over at the basketball court and started back swimming.
"I was being rough? No you were being clumsy; falling all over and shit."
"You pushed me, nigga. Of course I was gone fall. Now my elbow is all scratched up and people are going to see it at the wedding." She swam closer to me.
"You silly. That's almost a year from now, nobody gone be looking at your black ass elbows." I laughed at her.
"Fuck you." She laughed back.
Taylor and I came to a mutual decision to get married in the middle of April next year. It's June right now so we have ten months of planning to do. We wanted it to be soon, but not too soon because this is something we need to take our time with. If our schedules get too hectic then we don't have a problem with considering a later date.
"Can you have two maids of honor? I can't choose between Sunny and Cierra." She stepped her wet body out of the pool and sat next to me.
"I think you're only supposed to have one. I'm sure Cierra won't mind if you choose Sunny, she is your best friend." I closed the book I was trying to read.
"Yeah, but Cierra's my favorite cousin and we're kind of best friends too. I mean, obviously Cierra's going to be a bridesmaid, but..." She shrugged her shoulders.
"Talk to them about it, if they get mad then who cares."
"You sound just like a man. It isn't that easy. But for our honeymoon, I was thinking someplace like Greece or something."
"I thought you would've been a France type of girl."
"You took me there before, I wanna go somewhere new."
"We can always go somewhere new, everyday can be like our honeymoon." I leaned over for a kiss.
"Aren't you charming. I still would like to go to Greece for our honeymoon, they have some nice islands." She pecked my lips.
"Whatever you want, Tay. It's your world and I'm living in it." I smirked.
"You're so sweet. I love you." She kissed me again.
"Love you too, pretty girl." I rubbed her thigh, looking at the the bite marks and hickies I left on her brown skin.
Interrupting our soon to be intimate moment was the buzzing of my cell phone. It was the nail tech lady I had for Taylor, she must be at the door. I stood up from my seat and went into the house to go to the front door. After looking out the peephole, I greeted the nail tech.
"Hi, Ant. Sorry I'm late." She said, popping her gum.
Keon's cousin is a nail tech who's trying to build her clientele. She's really talented, but she's young and kind of unprofessional. I've known her since she was in middle school so I thought I'd give her a chance. If she does a good job, I'll help promote her work. I'm all about helping those who need help because I remember when I needed it.
