Song in multimedia: Lil Snupe- No Games
Three weeks later.
Three weeks into parenthood and I must say it's easier than I thought. Mariah is such a good baby, she's always so quiet. Sometimes Ant pokes fun and says that I was mean during my pregnancy because Mariah was soaking up all the niceness from me. I was expecting her to cry all the time, but she be chilling. Except for when she's hungry and her appetite is picking up really fast, she's going to be a little chunka mama.
"Look, I dressed her like you." Ant brought Mariah downstairs.
She was wearing a camouflage onesie with a small black bandana around her head and black socks. I wore a camouflage dress with some black Jordan's. I laughed because she looked like a cute little boy. The only hints that gave off that she was a girl was her necklace and bracelet.
"Ma-ma thugged out today. Ain't that right?" Ant held up her head as she moved her mouth like she wanted to talk.
"Girl, why you so pretty? I made the most adorable baby." He smiled at her.
"Y'all really did." Cierra added.
"Ant, if you drop my baby." I watched Mariah kick her legs while Ant held her up.
"I'm not gone drop her." He smacked his lips.
We're in New Orleans for the weekend because there was a hair expo I went to and plus Sunny wanted to see Mariah in person. Cierra came with us and we're all staying at my house here. I grabbed my purse and fixed my hair before putting Mariah's diaper bag in my other hand. Ant carried her out to the car and buckled her up. Cory's here on his own time, working on some new music and he wants Ant to meet him at the studio before we go over to Sunny's house.
"Is that everything?" Ant asked as he buckled up his seatbelt.
"Yup." I looked in the backseat at Mariah, in my lap at the baby carrier, and down at the diaper bag on the floor.
About forty-five minutes into the drive, we arrived at the studio. I wrapped the baby carrier around me and slid Mariah in. She was wide awoke moving her big eyes all around. As we walked in the front door the secretary greeted us and asked to see the baby. I showed Mariah's face without removing her from the baby carrier. Next, we went up to the room where Ant and Cory's studio session was.
A bunch of men were in the studio room and they all became excited to see Mariah. Ant greeted them and helped me handle Mariah so all of them could get a good look at her.
"Is that princess Mariah?" Cory stepped out of the booth and picked Mariah up.
She smiled and laughed as Cory held onto her. He sat down and complimented her outfit while taking pictures of her.
"That's your twin. Y'all got the same eyes and smile." Cory's friend said to me.
"You think so?" I still think she looks like Ant.
"It don't matter who she look like, my niece still gorgeous." Cory kissed her.
"Boy, don't kiss my daughter when you be fooling with Lord knows who." I told Cory.
"Stop playing wit' me. I don't kiss these hoes." He frowned.
"Whatever. You need to get back to work." I took Mariah and sat on the couch.
"Watch daddy do his thing, ma-ma." Ant glided his finger down Mariah's cheek.
Cory and Ant went over what they expected out of their new project together. Cierra and I sat back and had a whole conversation with my baby like she knew what we were talking about.
