Chapter 16: Fever

One month later, August 2019

Sunny and I just completed our five hour drive from home to Houston. It was exhausting and worrisome, but as long as we made it safe. Our reason for coming out here is because I start school soon and I wanted to see everybody before my life becomes busy again. We'll be staying at Cierra's house for the three day weekend.

"I missed my babies!" Cierra ran outside as we pulled up to her house.

I got out of the car with a smile on my face while Sunny got out with an attitude. I fell asleep during the ride when we were supposed to take turns driving and she's upset about it. I tried hard to stay awake, but I couldn't.

"Hi, Cierra." I kissed her cheek.

She helped us bring our bags into the house, that way we wouldn't have to take multiple trips. Once we were done, we all sat on her living room couch. Sunny still had a mug on her face which was pissing me off. She irritating, I wanna smack her so bad right now.

"Sunny what's wrong with you?" Cierra asked.

"I'm tired, I drove all the way out here by myself." She huffed.

"Girl, shut up. Okay I fell asleep, get over it." I threw my hand up in her face.

"No because I wouldn't have came out here if I knew you was gone do that. You wanted to come out here, not me." She fussed back.

"Well drive yo ass back home." I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, hey, hey. Stop allat, y'all came here for a good time." Cierra said.

"Tell her to be quiet then, she getting on my nerves."

"I can get on your nerves, I just hope you know you driving the whole way back." She bumped me.

"Whatever you say. What you cooking, Ce? It smell hella good." I inhaled something that smelt fried.

"Pork chops and gravy with rice."

"Mmm, that sounds good." I licked my lip.

"Bitch, you hate pork chops." Said Sunny.

"Right, I was shole about to ask when you start liking them. I would offer some, but you're on a diet." Cierra responded.

"I don't know, it sounds and smells good though. Maybe because Sunny has me eating like I'm a rabbit." I shrugged.

"You agreed to no dairy and no meat, don't put the blame all on me."

"No meat? So Sunny you stopped eating dick, huh?" Cierra laughed.

"Ha-ha, real funny." She flicked Cierra off.

I missed Cierra so much, I wish she lived closer. I've known this girl my whole life and this is the only time we've been this far apart. I can already tell this weekend is going to be a lot of fun. I took my shoes off and got comfortable then I hit up Cory to let him know I was in town. Ant isn't here which means I won't be able to see him.

Taylor: I'm at Cierra house if you wanted to see me. We probably bout to go by mama house. (5:43 pm)

Cory: i might swing by mama crib later. Me and Tyshawn got some girls over 😂 (5:46 pm)

Taylor: U dirty, but okay lol (5:48 pm)

Before going over my parents house, Sunny and I ate one of the many prepped meals we brought. They don't taste that bad, but I just love unhealthy foods. Finishing up our food, Cierra got ready to drive us to see our parents. We dropped Sunny off first so she could see her family and then we went to my peoples house.
