(Dan's Perspective)

When I woke up, I was still in the medical exam room, under the haunting greenish light. Why do I always wake up before they take me to my room? I wondered. They always promised they'd be here when I woke up.

Whatever they gave me to knock me out made my head feel fuzzy, and I'm not sure how straight I was thinking, but I didn't care. I didn't feel good, and I had to feel better so I could see Y/N and film today. I shakily pushed myself upright and got out of the uncomfortable surgery bed. I saw all the tools and medicines on the metal counter across the room and headed towards them. There has to be some sort of painkiller somewhere, I thought hazily.

Riffling messily through the supplies, I found a few vials of differently colored liquids. One of these has to work, I surmised. Maybe if I mixed them...? I opened them all and mixed them together, all logic fleeing the scene. Seeing a syringe, I filled it with the liquid and injected it into my arm. There, I should be fine now, right?

Walking back over to lay back down on the bed, the pain disappeared. That was fast, I thought happily. It must have worked! I smiled and closed my eyes, letting myself drift off to sleep.

(Your Perspective)

Phil and I rushed to Dan's room, opening the door after Phil softly knocked. There he was, lying there, eyes wide. He smiled and I ran over to his bed.

"Dan! Oh my God, are you okay?" I babbled. He laughed weakly.

"Yeah, I'll be okay," he chuckled. "I'm just glad you're alive! I was so worried-"

"Now tell me what happened." I interrupted. "Why were you on that bridge?"

He swallowed and stared up at me with sad eyes. "I wasn't thinking clearly, Y/N. I don't know... It sounded like the only option, I'm sorry..."

"You know we're all here for you, right?" Phil said. Dan nodded.

"I wasn't in the right mindset... I wasn't going to go through with it though, I know that. I was walking away when those boys, well, they..." he trailed off. Phil nodded, but my eyes widened in surprise.

"What? Someone else did this to you? Who?!" I asked. "Phil, why didn't you tell me... Oh my God..."

"Hey! It's okay, calm down!" Dan comforted quickly. "I'm right here, it's okay!"

"Who would do that?" I asked quietly. Neither of them answered.

"It doesn't matter anymore. I'm sure they've been caught by now, and I'm okay." Dan repeated. "And so are you."

"Yeah..." I sighed. I want to kill whoever did this. But I couldn't, I knew that. Dan was okay, and I should focus on that.

"When can we go home?" Phil asked. Dan shrugged.

"Tomorrow, I think? The doctors said I was doing pretty well, better than they've ever seen, apparently," he smiled.

"That's good!" Phil smiled. Someone knocked and came inside the small hospital room; PJ had given us some time to talk to Dan first.

"Hey Peej," Dan laughed. PJ grinned.

"Nice to see you alive," he replied. Dan nodded.

"Thanks for being here though, really. It means a lot," Dan affirmed.

"No problem! Someone has to watch these two when you can't," he joked, gesturing to me and Phil.

"Hey!" Phil and I shouted at the same time.

"Kidding, kidding..." PJ laughed, then winked at Dan, making me and Phil shout in defense again.
