Chapter 6

~Alicia's POV~

"Did you seriously have time attack another student to figure out why they are just as good as you Alicia?" My father said as I stepped into his room.

"Yes I did. You and I both know Potter is dreadful at Potions."

"Potter doing well in potions? I highly doubt that."

"He did. We had a competition for brewing Felix Felices and he brewed it just as good as me."

"How is that possible?"

"What do you think I was trying to find out?"

"That's no excuse Alicia. It's just a class."

"Well excuse me for being so curious."

He sighed and said "how's the mission?"

"Wouldn't know. Draco isn't letting me in the ROR. Said he'd rather do it alone."

"Then let him."

"Over my dead body I will."

"Alicia-"

"He gave us this mission for a reason. I know it will make me dark but so what? I was bound to become that way as soon as the Dark Mark appeared on my arm and you know it. Now if you excuse me. I have to go see Dumbledore." I said as I walked out of the room.

I so lied to him. I wasn't headed to Dumbledore's.

I was really headed for the common rooms.

Once I got there Draco was reading about the cabinet again.

I sat next to him and said "You should really get on with your homework."

"This mission seems more important."

"Your education is your future."

"Yeah well there won't be unless we complete this mission."

I sighed and grabbed his books.

"What are you doing?"

"Your homework. And don't think for a moment I am going to keep this up. We are going to switch."

"What? No!"

"Yes Draco. And that's final."

He rolled his eyes and kept reading.

As I did his work, I conjured my quill to write what I was thinking for my paper.

~Many months later~

I sat in front of the cabinet reading on how to fix it for the 5th time already.

"How many times are you going to read that book before you try something else?"

"Until I figure out what I'm missing."

"'Liesh it's been out of commission for years."

"And it should be fixed by now."

"Let's just concentrate on the important part of the mission."

"I'm not killing him."

"I know your not."

"You can't Draco and you know it. You wouldn't be able to deal with it."

He sighed and said "try again."

I held my hand out and he gave me an apple.

I put it in the cabinet and stepped back.

"Harmonia Nectere passus."

I opened the cabinet and it was gone.

"Well that worked."

"Now bring it back."

"Great." I said closing the door.

I said the spell again and opened the door and my heart sank.

"Just the core."

Draco growled in frustration and sat down on the couch.

"Something is missing."

"Yeah the rest of the apple."

"Not the time Alicia."

"Well what do you expect. We can't be serious throughout this whole thing."

"Yes we do Alicia. Our families lives are on the line."

"And you think I don't know that? If we keep thinking about that we will fail."

"We are going to either way."

"Stop thinking that way."

"Whatever."

I roll my eyes and hold my hand out to the cabinet.

"Reparo."
