Chapter 10

~Alicia's POV~

"Alicia get-"

"Ouch!" I said lifting my head up too quickly.

"What are you doing on the floor? I thought you went to sleep."

"I did until I saw an ancestor of mine.

My father saw my necklace and said "I'm assuming that's where you got that."

"Yes"

He came up to me held the necklace lightly examining it.

"Your mother did a paper on this. It's supposed to protect you from Dark Magic consuming you."

"Did she ever try to find it?"

"Now that you say something no. She hasn't."

"Why do you think?"

"No idea. She was afraid of Dark Magic."

"Unless it was an act."

"There's a good point. What are even researching."

"The Ancestor. Her name was Arianna."

"I heard of her. She was almost as powerful as you."

"So you mean I could be just like her."

"Possibly. She helped take Grindelwald down. Maybe you would be able to help take the Dark Lord down."

"But how?"

"No idea. That's probably why you have these meetings with Dumbledore. Speaking of which you have one tonight."

"Lovely."

"Start paying attention to every detail. You may need the information."

"I'll remember that. I better get going before I miss breakfast."

"You better actually go to breakfast."

"What do you mean?"

"McGonagall has been telling me when you have and haven't made it to breakfast."

"I've been over sleeping."

"Or your too much in a hurry to finish out the day so you can get to that cabinet."

I rolled my eyes and said "can I get ready now?"

"Of course." He said leaving the room.

I threw on my school robes and grabbed my bag and went into my bathroom to freshen up.

I grabbed my bag and went on down to breakfast.

I sat down not really knowing why I came here since I wasn't so hungry.

Draco sat next to me for a moment until he realized it was me and went to move.

"Draco please-" I said reaching for him.

"You brought me back here and you left me. Why?" He asked angrily.

"He told me-"

"So what!? No letters? No notes? Nothing from you all holiday. And for what?"

"He was training me Draco. I was forced into it I swear." I said as tears threatened to spill.

"Doesn't matter anymore." He sighed and came up to me and held me close.

I buried my head in his chest and let the tears silently roll down my face.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

I shook my head no.

"It will be all over soon." He sat us down still closely together.

"No its not."

"It will. I've worked on it throughout the holidays. I think it's time to try something alive."

"Ok." I said sitting up wiping my face.

"I'll do it." I said.

"No. It's too risky."

"And why is that?"

"What if it doesn't work? You'd die. I can't lose you." He said as tears threatened to spill from his eyes.

That made me break as I put my hand to his face stroking his cheek.

A little bird flew through the window and landed on my shoulder.

I looked at Draco an idea popping in my head and I knew he had one too because he had the same look.

I grabbed the bird quickly and Draco's hand and we went all the way up to the ROR.

We made the door appear and ran in finding the vanishing cabinet.

I set the bird in and closed the door.

"Harmonia Nectere passus." I whispered with my hand out.

The tweeting stopped and I opened the door to see no bird.

I closed it again and said it again.

I heard nothing. I froze fearing the worst.

I opened the door to see the little bird lying down dead.

I grabbed it and it's little head flopped to the side.

Draco put his hand on my shoulder and I growled in frustration and threw the bird across the room.

"We have been working on this all fucking year. Why is it not fixed!?!" I screamed. Slamming my hands on the door.

"'Liesh. I-"

"No. Don't say your sorry. This is my fault."

"What do you mean?"

I sighed and I turned to him and said "I went with Harry last year to the Ministryof Magic. I ran into him last year and he pushed me into the fireplace with my mother and I ended up at your house. He wanted me to be a Death Eater. I gave up Draco. I gave up fighting everything I ever believed in. But the only way I would give up is if you joined too." I said as tears fell down my face

"So you mean-" He started to say.

"Yes. You are a Death Eater because your stupid selfish girlfriend couldn't do it alone. And I'm so sorry. This should have been me. I should be the one in this alone. Not you."

"Stop it. Don't blame yourself. Because last year Trevor told me he was going to do this anyways."

"What?" I asked shocked.

"He planned me into this. You stepped yourself in. I only accepted it to protect you. It's like you said 'Liesh. We are in this together." He said with his forehead on mine.

"I love you baby girl." He whispered.

I smiled and said "I love you too."

He cradled my face and kissed me fully on the lips.

Sparks erupted and I wrapped my arms around him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close.

We broke apart and the room slowly transformed.

A bed formed and I rose an eyebrow.

"Sorry. I thought-"

"I know. Not yet."

"Ok." He said kissing my forhead.

He picked me up and layed me on the bed and we cuddled up to each other.

"Are we skipping class today?" I asked.

"Yes we are." He said.

"Ok." I said kissing him again.
