Alicia Snape (Book 6)

Chapter 14

~Alicia's POV~

"Harry go fetch Professor Snape."

Harry quickly nodded but footsteps were heard and I froze.

"Change of plans go underneath. Stay hidden. Alicia stay here."

Harry fought for a moment so I pushed him back and binded him so he wouldn't come up for anything.

Finally Draco emerged and I froze.

"Good evening Draco."

"Is anybody else here?" He fiercly asked.

"No. It's just us."

"Good. Alicia come here."

I couldn't move. I was way too scared.

"Draco. Don't do this you are no assassin."

"How do you know me? I was chosen." He said pulling his sleeve up revealing the Dark mark.

"I know. Alicia has told me everything."

"What?" He asked looking to me.

I looked at him sadly. Dumbledore then said "Draco. I once knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help."

"I don't want your help! I have to do this. I have to. Or he is gonna kill her." He said looking to me.

Dumbledore looked to me and nudged me to Draco.

I looked to him and shook my head slightly.

He nodded to me telling me it was ok so I did.

I heard footsteps and I quickly pulled my wand out.

"There's are others. How?"

"You should know. She told you everything."

"I didn't know there would be others."

He looked to me then back at him. "The vanishing cabinet in the ROR. We have been mending it all year."

"It has a twin. A sister."

"Borgin and Burkes. They form a secret passage."

"Ingenious."

My mother came up and Dumbledore looked to her.

"Good evening Bellatrix. How are you this fine evening?"

"Just fine Albus. I'm afraid we are on a bit tight schedule." She went over to Draco and kissed his shoulder saying "Good job Draco."

She looked to me disappointed.

"Don't you think you need to point your wand at him to kill him?"

I looked to Dumbledore sadly and he nodded telling me to do as she says.

I shakily pointed my wand at him and waited.

"Come on. Someone do it. Kill him."

Nothing happened and she grew frustrated.

"Come on Draco. NOW!!" He jumped slightly and put his wand down.

"We will have to work on that." She said to him and then she looked at me.

"You can do it darling. Don't you want to make mommy proud?" She said in my ear.

Tears fell as I heard my father's foot steps.

"No." I heard him say.

I kept my wand at bay though.

Dumbledore looked to me and I felt him go into my mind.

"It has to be you Alicia. Do it." I heard him say in my mind.

I swallowed back a sob and I said "I got this father."

I heard my mother laugh slightly and I looked at Dumbledore right in his eyes.

"You were always a grandfather to me. And I hate that I have to do this. But I know you want this. I will always hold you to my heart. I love you." I said as a tear fell down.

"And I you my dear." I sobbed and a picture of a black box in his drawer appeared in my mind.

I nodded to him telling him I saw it and said "Avada Kedavra."

A jet of green light flew from my wand and hit him square in the chest.

Tears quickly flew from my eyes as he fell backwards.

I ran forward to catch him but I was too late.

I watched him fall down to the ground as my mother shot the Dark Mark into the sky.

My hair fell around my face and I saw it go darker. My hands were pale white.

I knew it was almost time for me to be claimed Dark or Light but not yet.

My father grabbed me and steered me outside.

I slipped from his grasp and ran toward Dumbledore's office remembering the box.

I ran up the stairs and went through his drawers until I found the box.

I grabbed it and shrunk it and put it in my pocket as a spell flew toward my head.

I looked up to see Harry's angry face and his wand pointed at me.

"Harry I-"

"Show me your arm Snape!"

"You don't-"

"Show it to me!" He yelled making me jump.

I gulped and pulled my sleeve back. My Dark Mark shown brightly against my pale skin and Harry grew angrier.

"All this time. You were one of them. All of this time you were a fake. I trusted you!"

"Harry please you don't understand."

"Tell me then. Make me understand."

"I can't. Not yet. I will in time. Finish the job he set for you. I promise I will find you alone. Just please-"

"I can't trust that anymore Snape. Your a Death Eater."

"I never wanted any of this I swear."

"You never wanted thiz? Then why!? Why did you kill him!?!"

A tear fell down my face and I said "I'm sorry. I can't tell you. Not yet at least."

And with that I flew out to Malfoy Manor.
