When I finished my shower in the waterfall, I swam around a little more in confusion onto what had happened in the cave.

Then I decided to dress and go hunt seeing as I haven't eaten in two days.

While running, my wolf started begging for release, I shook my head.

Lia, I just showered.
That's okay, please let me out.
Lia you better not get us dirty.
I promise.

I felt my bones twist in my body making me groan lowly, the pain of shifting always stays with you and by time it just hurts less.

I shut my eyes and once I opened them the scenery around me was different, and I knew that my shift had finished.

I licked my lips and looked from side to side, keeping my surroundings in check.

I heard a twig snap, sniff the air and stay alert.

I watched as she did what I told her and sniffed the air, her eyes widened.

What is it?

She nodded her head to the left and started running, her canines sprung out to tell me she's preying.

I smiled happily and allowed myself to hold my control back and allow her to do her thing.

I watched carefully as a small deer ate some grass slowly, my heart clenched for him but what could I do? This was his fate and she was really hungry.

Lia walked at a slower pace as she approached him from behind, masking her scent using a skill I learned at my old pack house.

She made sure not to step on a twig or make any sound, but once she lunged for him, he felt movement and with a loud call for help, he ran.

She stumbled forward and growled while watching the deer run for his life, she trained her eyes on him in determination and once more she ran his way.

She didn't mind the leaves that were in her way and the branches that scraped her skin, she was determined to get her food and she didn't care for a little chase.

Once the deer was close enough to attack, she masked her scent again and lunged forward allowing her canines to sink into his fur covered skin.

He let out another call for help, but it suddenly muted once she ripped out a chunk of its skin.

The deer stumbled a bit before its legs gave out and he fell, I pitied him.

My heart dropped at the sight, but I noticed that he already had a wound and it was close to bleeding out right under his head.

With one more sink of her canines into the deers skin, right on the same wound, the deer let out a small whimper before closing his eyes and dying out.

Oh God, I really want to cry for him.
He was going to die anyway Celine.
Yeah, but we didn't know that at first.
I smelt the fresh blood on him, I wouldn't have attacked him if he wasn't already dying.
