Marina's POVWe have finally reached the grounds, and we stood behind the tree, our eye's searching through the crowd's for anything suspicious that could lead us to Celine.
"D-dustin." I whispered, my gaze remained locked on something or should I say a verbal exchange between two people.
"What?" He abruptly asked, I sighed and turned to him, he looked bored and his face was as hard as a rock.
"She's here." I explained, the tone of my voice sounded sad, his eyes narrowed while his brows furrowed.
"Where?" He asked me, his jaw clenching making me step back a bit.
"Over there." I said and turned my body to face her and I stretched out a hand to point my finger at her.
She looked happy. Genuinely happy, with a very good looking man beside her, they were joking around and she playfully slapped him.
But suddenly, a loud growl echoed through the woods making me flinch and still growl with it.
It was Dustin, his wolf saw the interaction and wanted to stake his claim.
Everybody got quiet and Celine's eyes drifted from person to person as her hand started shaking, the cup in her hand fell once her eyes locked with Dustin's.
Her other hand flew to her mouth and I could see how hard it was for her to see us.
Celine's POV
I watched as a path cleared for Dustin and some people bowed their heads, knowing exactly who he is.
He stomped towards me with an angered and determined facial expression making me whimper and cower back.
Suddenly he stood before me and tingles were all I felt as sparks flew around us, I was filled with a certain warmth that his scent brought me.
"Thought you could run away, huh?" He asked me, his head tilted sideways making his overgrown and floppy hair fall with it.
I didn't know how to answer, I was shocked to see him here, in all his glory.
"Answer me!" He spat out angrily, everybody gasped, because they all knew something he didn't.
He still hasn't changed, but what did I expect? That he would come searching for me and beg for my forgiveness? I think not.
His large hand flew out and gripped my forearm making me gasp and shake my head, everybody around us growled angrily, not liking the way their princess was being treated.
He tugged me roughly towards him and our chests hit each other, I sucked in a harsh breath at the sparks that managed to fly through my body at his touch.
"Unhand the princess at once!" Fin yelled out beside me, Dustin's jaw clenched and his eyes narrowed.
His dark eyes roamed my face, trying to understand and suddenly a dry chuckle escaped his lips while he shook his head.
"She? A princess?" He asked in humor and disbelief, I bit my lip and lowered my gaze.
"Yes, she is princess Celine, unhand her at once or else!" Fin yelled out, his words loud and strong, echoing through the woods and making me flinch.
"Let go of my sister!" Axel suddenly yelled out while running towards us, everyone gasped and moved out of the way, his eyes were no longer brown, they were a deep red color.
Axel wrapped his arms around me and pulled me out of Dustin's grasp, I sighed in relief and gulped watching as Marina joined us, her gaze confused as she gazed from me to Axel.
"Leave." I whispered, no longer wanting to see them here, her eyes widened and she scoffed, Dustin growled lowly.
"Leave!" Axel yelled out, his voice was deep and dark, I took a step away from him, scared of whats to come.
"What is going on here?" Father suddenly asked, as he walked towards us, Dustin and Marina both bowed their heads, no one could disrespect a king.
"I'm only here for my mate." Dustin said calmly, his words sounded genuine and what scared me the most was the evil look in his eyes when he said mate.
"And whose your mate?" My father asked, finally reaching us, Dustin locked eyes with me, but I quickly averted my own, gulping in fear while playing with my fingers.
"Your daughter Celine." He replied, his words sounded true but under the whole calm demeanor he was a wolf ready to punish.
I locked eyes with my father and shook my head slowly, he could see the fear evident within me, then he let out a dark chuckle making my eyes widen.
"My daughter, your mate? And this is how you treat her?" He asked, his eyes glaring at the red fingertips that were bruising my forearm, I pushed my hand into my dress, hoping to cover it.
"She's my mate, and i'll treat her how I wish." He stated and suddenly, something inside me started boiling in anger, I felt my eyes narrow.
"Say that again, I dare you!" I challenged, my voice no longer my own, my body no longer my own, and everyone around me gasped.
"I'll treat you how I wish." He repeated, walking closer to me, so that he's the only person I see.
I felt my hands shake angrily and I put them on the front of his shoulders, he looked shocked and I smirked, and suddenly I sent him flying back.
I felt proud, at least I think I did, until my body relaxed and I calmed down.
"D-daddy?" I asked in fear, what am I becoming? He sighed and glared at Dustin.
"Take him to the dungeons!" He yelled out, his eyes no longer full of the loving emotion as he glared at Dustin.
I watched as two huge men came and grabbed him, he growled and snarled, while thrashing around trying to escape, something in me wanted to help him, but I wanted him to understand how I felt all the times I have been dragged and brought to dungeons, and not just by him.
"Come here princess." My father said bringing my attention back to him, I nodded meekly and walked to him and melted in his arms, I really can't believe what just happened.
I pulled my head back and looked to my side as I laid my cheek on his chest, his breathing calming me.
And once again familiar black dots formed in my vision making me shut my eyes tightly then open them slowly, once again they were there.
It wasn't long before complete darkness consumed me and I fell into my fathers arms.
Shock, hurt and many other emotions taking tole on both Lia and I.
