THIRD PERSON POV

Claws scratched against furry skin, growls boomed through the dark woods and grunts of pain echoed throughout the night sky.

The two wolves battled out, one in anger and the other fighting for revenge.

Blood poured onto the ground with every scrape their claws made unto each others bodies - the sound of flesh tearing made everybody step back.

One wolf however, quickly began to dominate over the other, all too quickly it managed to sink its bloody mouth into the neck of the wolf that started it all.

Its canines dug holes deep into the neck of Dusks wolf, making him howl out in immense pain. Axel held Arsenio deeper into his chest, trying to block out the bloodcurdling noises.

Rile had a mind of his own. His thirst came back. He remembered the liking Dusk took to Celine. He remembered the time they went out and the many times he appeared beside her. It only fueled his anger more.

He hated that his Mate preferred Dusk over him. He hated that Celine took comfort in Dusk. He hated that Dusks attraction to her wasn't one sided.

So maybe that was why the large wolf dug his canines deeper into Dusks - wolfs - neck, a loud feral growl escaping him as a pool of blood poured out of the huge bite.

Dusk no longer had the strength to howl or pull away. His wolf began to give out as it thrashed helplessly in Riles unforgiving hold, his canines ripping apart the furry flesh - the sight gruesome.

Everyone silently watched as Dusks wolf began to shut down with small whimpers as his dark, lifeless eyes found Celines lifeless body - a storm of emotions dancing in his dark orbs.

Marinas wolf let out a small whimper. Everyone was surprised. Even as Rile mercilessly began dragging Dusks lifeless wolf up and down, thrashing him about like a rag as blood coated his snout, Dusks fur and the grass below them.

"That is enough! He's dead." Axel yelled out, shaking the small baby in his hands yet not scaring him. Arsenio just laid silently in his uncles large arms, gazing at his broad chest that heaved up and down angrily.

"Pull away Dustin." Axel ordered, his angered glare glued on Riles canines that were still in Dusks neck - that was until he chose to obey and pull away from Dusk reluctantly.

With a loud grunt he turned around and walked away, leaving Dusks wolf to fall helplessly onto the ground with a thud - eyes still open and body completely severed and bloody.

"You know what this means. This either concludes you and Dusks pack as enemies, and a war will break out. Or the King will appoint a new Alpha, or by some mistake will choose you to just take over. That is, if you are alive after this."

Dustin took over Riles strong hold and listened slowly to what Axel said - his head hung low as he pondered.

"We have no time to think about what you have done. Lets just continue." Axel stated with a shake of his head, his fingers rubbing Arsenio's small back - hoping to soothe him back to sleep softly.

And they all did. They left behind Dusks dead wolf and began walking towards the castle. Nobody looked back. Nobody dared to look back. For it was Dusks own fault. They all knew it.

You do not mess with an Alpha who has a known reputation of being ruthless and merciless. You do not mess with an Alpha that was being hit with every kind of emotion he has never even felt before.

An Alpha that has lost his Mate and is being challenged because of her. You do not mess with another mourning Alpha, period.

Grass crunched under stomping paws. A heavy burden hung over everyone's shoulders as the feeling of a great loss began consuming them all.

They weren't moving too fast. Seeing as a warrior had his own weight and his princesses to carry, meaning he walked a lot slower.. Axel also hadn't shifted seeing as he was still carrying Arsenio, so his human wasn't as fast as the shifted wolves.

Yet, they were still fast enough to see the large castle from the distance and they all sensed a great amount of turmoil, and they weren't sure they were ready to face it.

"We are almost here. Once we get there, I will go to alert my parents of our arrival, and you will go bring Celine to the pack doctor, you make sure she is in good hands. Understand?" Axel asked the warrior that walked beside him with his sister in his arms, the warrior nodded with a valiant look on his face.

"We're almost here." Axel mumbled out under his breath, his gaze on his sister - who had two bloody and swollen bite marks in her neck that looked vile and gruesome.

"Please Goddess, keep her alive." He whispered pleadingly as he looked down at his nephew in his arms - the innocent child that definitely did not deserve to go through any of this.

They are almost home. Almost there.
