"Someone wants to see you..." that was what Adrijan said as he stands towering above him on the foot of the bed. Vincent woke up with the tall guy knocking at his door, making him angrily shout at the bloody intruder.

Adrijan walks in and smirks at him, much to his annoyance, before he tells him that someone wants to see him.

"I wouldn't think twice hammering your knees or hanging you on a rope if you hurt her, Walton. I would have done that long time ago, only that Gabby will kill me too. But right now, I wouldn't give a damn if she does." He says before turning around to walk to the door but Vincent stops him.

"You and Gabrielle..." Vincent speaks.

"Gabrielle and I are friends... I was there when she gave birth and as Nic was growing up, just like she was with me in the course of my mom's chemotherapy. It's a long story and you knew it. Gabrielle has never hidden anything from you when she was still with you."

"Still with me...?"

"You've been divorced... at least, that's what she thought..."

"What she thought...?" Adrijan looks at him for a moment before sighing in defeat and speaks again.

"Three years ago... you've done something that almost ended Gab's life... She asked for divorce because of it. She was in trauma until Nic came..."

"D-Did I..."

"Abused her? Yes, you did. Despite the fact that you two were so in love..."

Vincent's eyes wander off as he feels his heart ache. Gulping, he looks up at Adrijan once again.

"W-Why did I..."

"Same reasons as to why you're such a pussy towards her now. Wrong accusations led you to the worst path you've ever taken that night... Everything you think you know about Gabrielle is wrong, Walton. She's not that kind of girl. You just have to remember that." He turns around again before speaking as he reaches for the door.

"Your daughter has prayed every night for almost two years now just to meet you... don't let her down again." He says not bothering to look back before he opens the door.

Just seeing the living doll outside his door made Vincent throw himself up to sit down, unable to speak as he looks at the girl staring back at him. She's wearing an old orange vintage dress with a cream apron, making her look so much like a porcelain doll. Her curly hair is loose, framing her delicate features, and he notices—despite his anger—the natural elegance in the way she stands, the curve of her cheeks, the small upturn of her lips. He catches himself staring, heart clenching, even as frustration simmers beneath his skin.

"Well?" Adrijan leans closer to the girl, who seems glued to the spot.

"Ok... you don't want anymore?" He reaches for the doorknob and attempts to close it again, but the girl was quick to stop it using her little foot before looking up at Adrijan. Embracing the things on her chest with just one arm, Nic throws her now free arm towards Adrijan's neck and embraces him.

"Thank you, Uncle Ade!" She beams, making Adrijan embrace her tighter and reply.

"Anything for you. Be a good girl, alright?" He touches Nic's nose, who is now smiling widely at him as she nods.

Then she throws him a look again before running excitedly towards him, much to his surprise.

Vincent even jumps when Nic throws what she was holding onto the foot of his bed before climbing up. Crawling her way towards him with a photo frame in hand, leaving a small bunny stuffed toy and a book on the foot of his bed.
