How to start fresh:
Step into the shower
Let the water hit your back
Let go of choking words you left unsaidRun your fingers through your hair
Cleanse the bit of soap you spot here and there
Admit it- you still do care
Now don't just stare
The water swirling down the drain
Isn't going to get you there
Start scrubbingNow step out of the shower
Dry yourseld with a towel, then look at the mirror
Look at yourself
Do you see curves?
Your hips, your brows, eyelashes, lips
Or maybe it's your wrists, or just your fingertips
Think of these curves as a birth's path to fly
It's carrying your sorrows and worry and whatever burden you hide
You are its runway
Your own escape
Now release your breath
You're not trapped- right now, you're okay- m.x.f
