--1 month later--

The police had found the body of that thing that attacked me. It was sent into the paramedics and researched, they still haven't told anyone what it is.

Haden and I have become very close, we basically know each other.

Haden said today that he would tell me more about his past.

"I was born at home, deformed, but my parents kept me a secret for 18 years. Until, god dammit, I went outside by myself and the neighbors saw me in my shorts. They call the DDB (deform deportation brigade) and they came to collect me. My parents tried to hide me, but they couldn't, and it was all my fault." He says quietly and depressed.

"It's not your fault, you just wanted to live your life." I counteract, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"But, it is, if I hadn't gone outside I would've still been there with my parents." He says putting his hands over his face.

"It's Ok," I say with sympathy.

"I-i don't want to talk about this anymore." He stutters.

"Ok," I reply.

We continue walking along the shoreline that we first hung out at until we decide to take a small swim, it's very dangerous to swim in the ocean without a third person that isn't swimming. But we don't care.

I still don't know how I can swim without my other arm but its usually all in my legs so I'm fine.

We both step up onto a tall rock and do a dive into the freezing salty water.

The chilling water hits my skin and I immediately loose my breath. I jump back up to the surface and gulp air in.

Haden then swims up under me on accident and I fall back under. He immediately grabs me, carrying me in a bridal way.

If this isn't romantic I don't what is.

We just sit there for about 2 seconds stunned by each other. Until I lean in and kiss him, it's like a magnet was pulling me to him.

His lips plump and taste of salty water and some chocolate he ate before coming here.

I close my eyes and feel him start to kiss back hungrily. He slowly steps towards the shallower end, where we kiss even more. My tongue dancing with his.

Until we both stop because we are out if breath. My breath is ragged and uneven.

We both sit there in each other arms in silence for a minute or so and then he kind of pushes us away.

I'm shocked by my sudden movement. His breath is coming out in short spurts too.

I get up quickly and run, run far away from him and into the woods. 

My emotions mixed with pride, anger, lust, and fear. I'm a wreck.

I've been wondering the woods for over an hour, for sure. I know I'm lost but i just keep wondering, this is a perfect time to cool down, relax, get things straightened out in my mind.

I hear some ruffling in the bushes and I freeze. 

"Psst..Dove." I hear a familiar voice whisper.

"What," I say half annoyed that it's Haden, but half excited.

"I'm sorry- i mean i didn't mean to-" He starts.

"Why did you push me away!" I yell angered.

"I'm sorry! I was in shock!" He yells back.

"You didn't have to push me away like that though!" I scream!

"Well, you didn't have to kiss me!" He screams back in a fit of anger.

I stop immediately and my eyes go wide. I feel as if I'm going to cry.

"Dove, you know i didn't mean that right-" He starts.

"I wish i had never met you!" I scream as loud as i can.

"Dove..." He says coming closer to touch me.

"NO! Don't don't touch me. Ever!" I scream.

"Dove, i said i was sorry." He says sympathetically.

"You don't' understand," I emphasize. "I poured out my heart in that kiss, but just for you to push me away?"

"I swear i would never do that on purpose, you caught be by surprise." He says.

He kisses me passionately and i melt in his arms. He sure can kiss.

I close my eyes and let him capture me for a moment until i almost forget totally what we were talking about. I will hold this against him though. After we pull away i say,

"You owe me," I say smirking deviously.

"What shall i do for m'lady." He says in a fake old-timey accent.

"You have to pick my patch for a week, and if anyone asks why you have to say i think i dropped my underwear in here." I giggle.

"Fine." He sighs.

"Ok we better find our way out of this forest, and fast we have about another hour until the sun starts to set.

We made it back in town just before nightfall, and I do admit it was a little scary thinking about my attack while in the woods but i had Haden there to protect me.

We went back to our own apartments and agreed to go help out the children center together with Georgie tomorrow. 

I fall asleep to soft snores of Georgie on the couch.

I get up and decide to take a cold shower since its about 6:45. I strip myself of my clothes and slip into the freezing water. I gasp as I realize how cold it is and I try to shallow my breaths to get used to the water. The cold water reminds me of yesterday. 

I scrub myself clean and get out drying myself off with one of the towels I had sitting on the toilet. 

I brush my wavy hair and attempt a French braid as I apply lip balm and brush my teeth. I really am excited for Georgie to get to the new Haden and me. I mean we aren't exactly in love, but I can feel it in him when he kisses me. I go to wake up Georgie so she can get ready. 

I wait there on the couch listening to the radio until I hear something weird on it.

"All members of Island D please report to your buildings at 2 pm exactly or punishments will proceed as needed." I here a voice that is definitely not from this island.

"Georgie.."I warn and she comes out.
