I turned around to see what made Jeff's eyes go wide.
"Clay what the hell!?" I said. "I told you to not follow me." I sighed running a hand through my hair.
"I'm sorry. I had to see wether my best friend was actually alive or not." Clay said walking towards us. He hugged Jeff and I looked at them smiling gently. I knew how much they meant to each other and I felt bad for not bringing Clay with me even though he followed me anyways.
"I missed you, bro." Clay said not letting go of the hug. Jeff nodded. "I missed you too." He sighed.
"So, you can come home now right? We can tell your parents why you faked your death and everything can go back to normal!" I said happily. "Baby-" I cut Jeff off. "What? You can come home Jeff no one is going to get you." I said biting my lip. "Babe, listen to me!" He raised his voice catching me by surprise.
"I can't come back. The dealers are still going to look for me. You guys need to keep quiet about this okay? They won't hurt Clay if they find out but they can hurt you." Jeff said and he frowned seeing the disappointed look on my face. I felt tears come to my eyes because I just wanted him to come home and I wanted to be with him.
"They know how much I love you and how much it would hurt me if they hurt you. I could never forgive myself if something happened to you." He whispered as he stroked my hair. "You need to move on from me. I can't be there for you." And just like that my heart broke for what felt like the millionth time.
"No." I shook my head. "No, What?" He asked. Clay stood off to the side letting us work things out.
"I'm not going to loose you again. You're coming home." I said sternly. "Baby, you know-" Just then a voice from behind us spoke.
"Jeff Atkins." A deep voice said. "I thought you were dead."
I never thought this would happen.

Who could it possibly be this time? Do you think Jeff will go back home?
