The next morning at school I decided to take matters into my own hands. I marched down the hall towards Coach's office.
I knocked on his door until he told me to "come in". I sat down in one of the chairs. "Why did you kick Jeff off?" I asked. "And give me the truth." I demanded.
"Get to class, Katherine." He sighed as he glued his eyes to the papers he was working on. "I'm not leaving until you tell me why Jeff was kicked off. He was your best player and you damn well know I'm right." I snapped. I wasn't going to let Jeff be unhappy. This was his life. He made a mistake. Everyone does it.
"Yes, he was amazing. But, his grades are just too low and he broke the rules." Coach said. I shook my head. "What if he gets his grades up?" I ask him. "Still. He broke the rules. Drugs are illegal especially the kind he was taking." He sighed running and hand over his face.
"Fine, if he raises his grades to at least a B or C average then he can play. But, let him know that if he breaks my rules again he will be expelled next time." Coach said. I pumped my fist.
"Thank you!" I grinned knowing I got my way. I always got my way. "Yeah. Yeah. Get to class, James." He rolled his eyes and I walked out. I walked over to Jeff's locker. "Hey, babe. Meet me outside of History class before lunch. I got some good news to share with you." I smiled. He nodded and I pecked his lips slipping off to class. Things were starting to get better already.
Now, I just need to get him to raise his grades.
