I looked at the time and clicked on the icon to call Jeff. I was literally shaking.
One ring..
Two..
Three..
Come on!
Four..
I heard the phone get picked up and I was trembling with fear. "J-Jeff?" I choked out. "It's me baby." His voice said through the speaker. I wanted to cry right then and there. "Oh my god." I whispered as my voice cracked. "Please don't cry. I know that sound." Jeff whispered.
"I'm sorry. I just need you. Please come back. We can figure this out. I can get the money to pay them back. I just want you." I said running a hand through my hair.
"Baby, I can't. I'm too late. I really want to see you though. I have a place where we can meet up." He told me. "Really?" I asked excitedly. "Yeah. I'll send you the address but don't tell anyone please."
"I won't. I miss you so much." I told him starting to cry.
"Baby, I miss you too. I miss your smile, I miss your laugh, I miss your lame jokes, I miss everything about you." Jeff mumbled. It sounded like he was about to cry. "I have to get to bed, but I will text you later. It was so good to hear your voice again." I whispered a bit broken because I didn't have my other half right next to me.
"You too baby girl. Sweet dreams, beautiful." He blew a kiss through the phone and I smiled widely blowing a kiss back. Then, I hung up.
