Chapter 11

Melody

The boys soon walked back into the flat and I just sat there on my phone, not saying a word.

I had never felt more awkward as their laugh filled the small flat.

However I was soon pulled from the sofa by a strong force and I was instantly wrapped in a hug, I could tell who it was just by their scent and I nuzzled my face into his toned chest.

"Hey Rye"

"Hey babe, how was your journey?" he asked as he pulled away from the hug to look down at me.

"Tiring, even though I slept through most of it" all of the boys laughed and I soon felt at home.

"Melody, this is Jack and Brooklyn, since you've already met the other two weirdos" Andy introduced and I hugged each of the boys.

"Hey nice to meet you guys"

"C'mon Mel, we're going out, day 1 starts now" Andy winked and told me that we were going to the local nature park so I grabbed a jumper, my phone and some money and off we went.

We arrived at some sort of obstacle course that was built into the park and the boys decided that we should all go in teams, Rye was with Mikey, Jack was with Brooklyn and Andy volunteered to go with me.

Rye and Mikey went first and I saw Brook stood there with a camera.

"Hey Roadies, we're back here, doing the obstacle course and hopefully Rye doesn't get another mark on his coat and hopefully I don't fall into the lake again" as soon as Brooklyn said that, I burst out laughing at the thought.

"Brooklyn how the hell did you manage that?" I was bent over in fits of laughter as the image of Brook falling played in my mind.

"He's an idiot" I heard Mikey shout from some sort of rope walk and soon enough he got his leg caught and was laying on the floor and everyone was in hysterics.

Andy's laugh filled the park and it was one of his best features, when he found something extremely funny his laugh would get higher and his nose would crinkle and he would grab his stomach to try stop the cramp but it only made him laugh even more and it was contagious.

The other boys had done the course so now it was our turn. Andy went first and I was close behind him, I was a competitive person so I was very determined to not fall an complete this thing.

I got to the rope walk, where Mikey had fallen, and Andy was still in the middle, he was struggling.

"Andy will you hurry and just cross it!!" I shouted.

"Just walk across, it might make it more stable if there's two people." He was so close to falling off and I was definitely not going to let that happen.

"Fine, but if you fall fovvs I won't forgive you" he laughed and just told me to walk across, so that's what I did.

I stepped onto the rope and grabbed the sides and walked towards where Andy was stood and he didn't even attempt to move.

"Are you going to move or not?"

"Help me up?" He put one of his arms forward and like the idiot I am, I went to grab his arm but before I could help him up I lost my balance and he yanked me down and we both fell, expect I landed on my back and Andy landed on top of me.

Everyone was silent and Andy started to lean in but was interrupted by Mikey coughing and he broke out of his trance.

Melody and I both fell off the rope walk and I landed on top of her.

We laid there staring at each other I started to move closer to her until I heard Mikey coughing, for a minute I forgot the boys were stood there.

I got up and helped Melody up, I shot Mikey a glare but he didn't really care.

"Cafe?" Brooklyn asked looking around at us and we all nodded, we had been at the obstacle course for a few hours just messing around so it was about time we went to get food as we had barely ate all day.

We sat in the little cafe and all had a cup of tea and something small to eat, like a muffin or something.

The boys were talking to Melody and they were getting to know her and I was glad because I care about these people so much and this means that it won't be awkward over these few days.

My heart sank at the fact that we had already wasted one day being idiots, I didn't intend to have the boys here but once they heard where I was planning on taking her, they decided that they wanted to come to.

We finished our food and started our walk back to the flat

. It was starting to get dark outside which signals that we've been here for longer than we thought.

Once we were back we all just chilled out, deciding what we should do for the next few hours.

Rye was on his bed, Mikey was on his, Jack and Brook were sat on Jacks bed and I was sat on the sofa with Mel.

"We could watch a movie and order some food? I'm still pretty hungry" Jack stated and looked around the room at us all to see if anyone agreed with him.

"I agree with Jack, I'm still starving" I heard Melody mumble from besides me.

"Domino's?" Rye asked from his bunk and I heard Mikey and Brook scream dominoes and it just felt like a typical day in the RoadTrip flat, except there was a beautiful girl sitting next to me, laughing at the 4 idiots in the room and I couldn't be happier.
