Chapter 29

•Time skip: 3 Weeks•

Melody

It had been 3 weeks since I last saw Elijah, he would often text me to make sure everything was okaii and he ended up being the first person to find out that I was going to fly to America to surprise Andy.

He thought it was a bad idea but didn't try to stop me from doing it.

Andy had been pretty distant for the past few weeks, he barely made an effort to FaceTime and the replies were always short and blunt, I didn't really think anything bad about it, I just thought timezones but I wanted to see him in person.

So that leads to the situation now.

Lydia and I landed about 2 hours ago after an exhausting flight and we were currently waiting for our Uber to the hotel that the boys were staying at.

I brought Lydia with me so I wasn't completely alone and so that we could experience America together.

Lydia checked us into our room, which was 228, so we headed there first and I checked myself in the mirror, mentally prepping for what was about to happen.

"Mel baby, everything will be fine, go!!!" Lydia urged as she turned the tv on and flicked through the channels.

Walking down the hall, I could hear voices coming from Andys room, which was weird considering Rye told me everyone was down at the pool.

Rye had met me at the lobby and given me their room key so I didn't have to knock, so I hesitantly placed the key in the door and waited for it to turn green until I pushed the handle down and opened the door.

The sight before me made my stomach go weak, I was frozen in my spot and tears welled my eyes.

I finally understood why Andy had been ignoring my texts, it's because he had been banging someone else for the past three weeks.

"Melody, oh my god baby" he scrambled to put some clothes on but I didn't wait for him to explain, I slammed he door shut and walked down to the pool area.

I could hear Andy coming after me but I didn't want to see him at this moment.

"Melody please" he grabbed my wrist as I spun to face him. I yanked my hand from his grip as he held his up in defence.

"Stay the fuck away from me, I should never have given you a second chance" my voice was laced with anger as I stormed away from him, leaving him stood there.

Rye

The boys and I sat in the pool with a couple of the talent from the tour as we waited for Melody and Andy to come down, but the reality was very different.

"RYAN BEAUMONT. YOU FUCKING KNEW" Melody shouted as she stormed into the pool area, luckily there was no public members in here and it was just us.

I took a second to take her appearance in, she had leggings, converse and tank top on. Her brown hair was pulled into a messy bun on her head and her makeup-less face was stained with tears.

"woah, knew what?" The boys watched in anticipation as she walked closer towards me.

"Andy, he and some girl were banging and you knew!" She pointed her finger in my chest as I felt my heart drop and my anger levels rise.

I had no idea that Andy was with another girl and the fact that Mel had to witness it made me feel sick.

"Melody I swear, we knew nothing" she shook her head and I instantly pulled her into a hug.

"Don't give me that shit Rye" she scoffed as she pushed me away.

I decided to just let her take her anger out on me because it kept me from killing Andy.

Her fists pounded my chest as she kept pushing, inaudible sobs and screams coming from her mouth until she just collapsed to the floor.

I was quick to catch her as we both sat on the floor, I could see the anger and disgrace in the boys eyes too.

We all knew what Andy was like but we thought he'd change once he was with Mel, but I guess not.

"Why would he do this Rye? Was I not enough?" Her questions were muffled and I wish I hadn't heard them but unfortunately I did and it hurt my heart.

"You gave him everything a guy could ask for, he just doesn't realise it and he isn't worth your tears right now" I placed a piece of her hair behind her ear as Lydia arrived.

"Mel, oh baby come here" she pulled her into a hug and mouthed a hi to me as she rocked her best friend.

A couple of hours later, Melody had recollected herself so now we were all separated into Uber's as we made our way to go eat. Andy obviously didn't come.

We arrived at the grove as we headed to the restaurant where we had all decided on but someone accidentally knocked Mel.

"Whoa, I'm sorry I didn't mean to catch you there, I get so caught up in my videos that I forget I'm in public, I'm Brennen" the guy laughed as he put his hand on Mels arm to make sure she was okay.

"It's fine, I'm Melody" she smiled at him and looked over at me, causing her smile to falter a little as she continued.

"Sorry Brennen I have to go, try not to knock anymore people out" she laughed as they exchanged numbers and I suddenly felt a pang of jealousy in my chest.

I slung my arm around her shoulder, making sure I pulled her a little closer, I don't know what I'm feeling but all I know is that I can't explain it.
