Melody

I looked at Lydia as Andy ran out of my flat, she just shrugged her shoulders and headed to my wardrobe.

"Lyds, do you know something I don't?" She flicked through my clothes, refusing to look at me.

"Mel babes of course I don't but c'mon, if Andy says dress cute then you gotta trust him and dress cute" she held out a jumper in my direction and squinted but quickly shook her head and placed it back in the wardrobe. She stood there for a good 15 minute just searching for something.

She soon picked out an outfit that I was happy with and she insisted that I put on at least a little bit of makeup so I did. I left my hair with the curls from previous days and texted Andy asking if it was safe for us to set off and he told us that we could.

About twenty minute later we made it to the opening of the little forest/park and I saw little rose petals scattered along the floor, along with a piece of paper.

Melody, follow the rose petals and find the second note❤️

I held the paper close to my chest and turned to Lydia with a huge smile on my face as we followed the line for about 5 minutes until a single fairy light was in our view with another piece of paper attached to it.

I jogged over to the light as Lydia took some cute candid pictures and I untied the little piece of paper.

Melody, your name is music to my ears, follow the guitar picks to the last note❤️

I picked a few picks from the ground to see them engraved with cute memos on them, I showed them to Lydia as I teared up with happiness.

We finally made it to the little clearing in the park and there were fairy lights dangling from the trees and a few candles set out on the bench, but most importantly, on the ground was the final note.

It was on black paper and the writing was in silver.

Melody Grace, you are the story of my life. You've been with me from the start and I truly do thank you from the bottom of my heart for never giving up on me. I love you millions...❤️

My heart stopped when the boys emerged from behind the trees, Andy had his guitar and they started to sing story of my life. Luke and Kyle were filming the situation but I didn't even care, happy tears fell from my eyes as the huge smile still remained on my face.

Lydia wrapped her arms around me as we swayed to the music that the boys were creating.

Everything at this moment felt right. Having my best friends here and new friends, my old love, everything felt like it was finally falling into place and I finally felt content with things.

I didn't feel like there was a weight on my shoulder anymore, it was like it had disappeared the minute Andy showed up, of course I still felt guilty for everything that happened with Elijah but I knew that he understood that this was what I wanted and he would be happy that I was happy.

The boys stopped singing and Andy walked forward so that he was stood in front of them.

Andy

"Andy? What's going on" she looked around the park and her face still had a giant smile on it.

"I wanted to show you how serious I am. You've meant the absolute world to me since I was 19, turning 20, even though I left 3 years ago I have never stopped thinking about you Mel. I wanted to come home more than anything to see you but I didn't have the courage. You had every right to hate me, I hurt you but now I'm here to make things right, I want you to trust me, I want you to feel safe with me Mel. I know this sounds like a proposal but Melody will you please be my girlfriend?"
