MELODY laid in a hospital bed surrounded by a number of people, the bright lights shone down on her, which made it even harder for her to open her eyes.
She finally managed to blink them open and she glanced at the clock on the wall which stated it was 7 am, however no one seemed to notice as they were all asleep, but she could feel the weight of someone's hand in her own so she squeezed it causing Lydia to bolt her eyes open.
"Melody?! Oh my god" a few tears quickly escaped Lydia's eyes
"W-what happened?" Mel's voice was hoarse as she turned her head to face the girl beside her.
"Well..."
4 days earlier...
Melody was in a local bar with her new group of friends, and unfortunately for her the roadtrip boys walked in which definitely messed with her emotions.
She had been avoiding them for 2 days but now here she was. As much as she wanted to kick off, she didn't, she just drank and drank until she ended up stumbling off on her own at around 12:30.
She soon found herself stood on a wall that overlooked a small river, the height was probably enough to do some damage.
Her mental health had been plummeting since she left Elijah, and now it had finally hit rock bottom.
Her episodes were becoming more frequent and her depression slowly took over. She managed to keep it all under control, but some times the darkness wins.
Melody was ready to let herself go until she heard Lydia and the rest behind her.
"Mel, babe, get down from there" Lydia's voice was shaky, probably due to the fear as everyone watched.
"There's no hope" Melody wasn't facing the group, she was looking down at the water, suddenly she seemed a lot more sober.
"Don't say that, there's always hope, you know that" everyone was quiet as Melody let out a painful scream.
"Mel, hey look at me" Rye's voice was soothing as he edged closer to her, afraid of any sudden movements.
Everyone else stood far back, giving Lydia, Rye and Melody and space as they tried to convince her to get down.
"Look, I know things haven't been easy for you, I know you've given up so much and I know you're hurting right now but is this really the best thing Mel? Think about Lydia, think about Elijah, how devastated would they be if you did this? I know I would, so please, please get down" His voice cracked towards the end as tears rolled down his face.
She finally turned to face the group, mascara stained her face as the tears kept on flowing.
"I trusted you Andy. I gave up everything for you! My happiness, my sanity, everything! But that still wasn't enough was it?" Her words came across as harsh as she turned her to attention to the boy in the back.
"I- I'm Sorry Melody, please get down and we can talk about this" he didn't want to move closer as he was afraid of upsetting her even more, so he stayed in the same spot.
"No, you don't get to say sorry. You knew what you were doing and you still did it anyway, I hate you Andy" anyone would've believed her if she wasn't showing so much emotion.
"I'm Sorry" with those two words Melody spread her arms out and took a step back, her body plummeting into the water as everyone screamed.
"Mel, NO!!" Rye's voice was fragile as he lunged forward to look over the edge, Melody's body was nowhere in sight.
