We managed to get to Brooklyn in under 7 hours on foot, i may have had to fly a little on the way. i was running down a street with an New Horizon Automotive on Atlantic Ave. i was running next to some pillars holding up a bridge up above me and continued to run that way until i knew where i was going. 10 minutes later and i made it pass a Building Supply Shop, i just kept running ignoring anything around me. After a long time of running for what felt like hours i made my way onto Tillary St. and found a bridge connecting to where i needed to be. i managed to take a break at Cadman Plaza Park. i didn't go into the building i stayed in the trees on the other side of the road. i held my hand up to a tree slightly back out of sight and started panting out of breath. "this..book..does it..have a picture of a devil?" i asked. Wix flew out gasping for air. "yes. why? you haven't seen it have you?" Wix asked. "i think so. but it doesn't make any sense? why interrogate Jessica for it? i mean Lucifer should already have it right?" i asked. "well, they may have found an ancient object by chance?" Wix guessed. "the objects only magnify Lucifer's power like Beth said, first a town, then a city, a country and so on." Wix said. i looked back into the woods and found a mysterious fog surrounding only a specific area of a forest. Wix wasn't paying any attention lost in thought saying "we need to find someone to help..." was when i couldn't hear her voice anymore as i got closer to the fog. inside the fog i found a large lake reflecting the full moonlight and shining very brightly. a memory flared violently into my head. the memory was me talking by a lake to a girl with ram horns, she and i were making some light conversation about something and was laughing at something. i couldn't hear anything i was saying it was like the memory was on mute. the memory soon faded and i was surprised by something else flames erupted right beside me nearly making me fall over as a man suddenly appeared. the man had what looked like a lion mane across his face down to his neck in the shape of the sun. his bold rock hard expression seemed to scream he was disappointed and mad all the time. his fiery orange eyes flared into flames with his arms crossed. he had some sort of red Greek cloak on and a short vibrant orange Greek cape around his shoulders. the man was also wearing red sandals, and had a short stubble beard. the man looked at me and said "hello, boy, i am Apollo." "Apollo? as in the Greek god of the sun?" i asked. "no. that is someone else, my mother named me after him." Apollo answered. "what is it that you want from me?" i asked. "this land has lost it's beauty. i remember when trees and forests roamed everywhere as i lye before this tree and could see the squirrels run up it, and the birds sing as they pass it." "okay? what does that have to do with me?" i asked. "the humans are to blame for making this world lose it's beauty, and i assure you that i will restore it." Apollo said putting one of his hands on a tree and making the other one into a tight fist, he looked very angry. suddenly from the lake came a swirl of water stretching out of the lake and taking shape as a young woman. the woman had long deep sea blue hair flowing down her back, she was wearing a long sea blue dress, which seemed to have one side of the bottom rip leaving one of her legs exposed. the Woman's eyes were a bright sea green color shining just as brightly in the moonlight. "Brother, please, have some decency and tell him why you're saying this before giving reason!" the woman said turning to me and saying "i'm very sorry for my brother, he gets very annoyed sometimes and can't seem to use manners in the order their supposed to be in." the woman bowed in apology. i stepped back a little bit and said "no, no, it's no problem at all." Wix suddenly flew into view and yelled "hey! wait up!" Wix flew right into Apollo's belly, which deflected her off onto me. i caught Wix and set her in my pocket. "that fairy of yours needs to be more careful and slow down." Apollo said grumpily. "you're one to talk, brother." the woman next to him said she turned and said "oh, i almost forgot, i am Luna, it's a pleasure to meet you Jake." "well, Luna, what brings you here?" i asked. "you see, we wish to help you in your fight with the devil himself Lucifer." Luna said. "Wix?" i asked. i turned my back to them and began whispering a conversation. "who are these guys?" i asked. "their immortals from a long time ago, they were natives to this land, although their heritage moved around a lot before hand so that's why they look more american. it also helps when they became immortal they learned to control powers such as transformation and one of the elements." Wix said. i turned back to the two and said "okay, i know why Apollo over there is doing it, but why you?" i faced Luna who's hair was moving just like a river. "why, for my brother of course?" Luna responded. i nodded and said "OK. let's get going. i'll meet you in New York City got it?" i said. i knew going with them would be better, but i can't teleport or sprout from lakes i could only fly, and that would get me spotted, so we had to split up for now. they both agreed with my idea and Apollo bursted into flames, and Luna melted into water returning to the earth. i made my way back tracking next to the Brooklyn bridge i needed to get onto. i hoped over a small fence keeping people as far away as they could and made my wings appear from my back and flew up for a few seconds. the only one who saw me was a poor old hobo sitting on a soup can. my wings disappeared back into my body and i began running down the bridge near the left side trying to stay out of the cars way. i made my way onto Frankfort St. next to the New York City Hall. i looked around to see any buildings. i noticed a very tall building taller than all the rest around me and started to head towards it. running down Canyon of Heroes until i came upon a turn left and turned onto park row. i followed the path of the road until a curve made me come across a turn right, i took it onto Beekman St. i made my way down to an orange building with a tall golden tower looming over it. i made my way inside the building and managed to make it up to the highest floor i could get on before jumping out a window and flying up to roof of the building. i landed on the roof to see to figures standing before me. "hello Jake." a young man in his late 20s said. the man seemed to have a brilliant glow with his smile, his teeth seemed to sparkle like on those commercials. the man's hair was combed sideways and he was wearing some sort of formal black suit. "indeed." said small child, the child looked almost exactly like the young man except the boy had a dark and grim expression, unlike the cool and confident one the young man had. "Jake, it's about time to watch the human race suffer." the boy said. "you'll never win." i said reaching for my sword. Wix flew out of my pocket and hid somewhere i couldn't get into my line of sights as i was now locking eyes with the boy. i probably shouldn't have said or done anything as what was about to happen next will be probably the worst part of this entire adventure.
