Quote of the Chapter: "May the next few months be a period of a beautiful transformation."
I was a student here once, last 4 years actually. But now I'm a young cop who skipped college and has to watch over a troubled 18 year old girl. Oh, what fun is in store.
Background: I'm 19 and graduated from Swearpoint High. I am now the youngest cop ever recruited in South Carolina, a great achievement of mine.
I went through all 13 years of schooling (counting kindergarten), not once receiving any grade less than an A or A+.
I also went through many years of training as a child because my dad was a cop and my mom was a hunter for a living.
My mother is still alive today. My father died in a violent gang shooting (mass) about two years ago. His passing severely hurt me and my family, wounding us forever.
Although we are still in much pain, I wouldn't let that distract me from what my goal had originally been: To be just like him by living up to his full potential. So as an officer, I like to get every opportunity to help anyone, dying a leader just like him.
I was allowed to do this assignment. I was allowed to pretend to be a student since the police informed each staff member about it. Every single teacher in the school, was on board with getting Miss Monistant back on track with her schooling.
Second reason I hopped on board with this job is because I get to relive and make many memories. One of my favorites is rapidly coming up. It is called "Party Night." Someone throws a huge secret party, that most of the school goes to.
Finally, I took this job because, like I said, my dad. My dad was 42 when dying from gang violence, and reading Gabi's detention/résumé papers, she may possibly be in a gang herself, or considering joining one.
Who puts, 'Can cause trouble, loves guns, can ensure pain, I hate everyone and smokes 30 cigs a day,' on a college résumé!
Must have been a joke, right? Don't believe me, here you go. . .
On the first day of school, she flipped off all the teachers and plastered papers about why she hated all of those she had for the first and second time. Around the whole school.
Let's recite one, shall we.
Dear Ms. Hall, or Ms.Suck Balls,
I am still very upset that I was stuck with having you once again this year. I usually enjoy English class but you suck . . . balls. You are too skinny for my liking, you constantly complain about your 50 year divorce, and your teeth are so yellow, I confuse their shine with the sun. Like girl, have you ever heard of whiting strips! Or a dentist?
Also, please tell me why are you always on your period, or is it menopause. Aren't you too old for that shit. You ask to much of us and complain over stupid things all class.
You are so old the white hairs in your afro are turning gray again. Bish are you decaying?
Ms.Hall, you honestly reminded me, every time I see you, as the Old Maid. That one card game I played as a kid. I mean, I'm pretty sure have no clue what I'm speaking of since you played with the dinosaurs.
Anyway, if you want to find a man, my father is currently in jail and he loves young and old women. Trust me. If you want to feel loved, go and join him! This year, plus life will be better without you.
Back to the skinny thing, I will take you to McDonald's for lunch if you would like me to. I don't want to assume anything, but are you sick, diabetic? Watching your invisible figure? I don't know, but I swear you weigh 100 pounds, are 80 years old, and you have solid gold bars for teeth.
