Dante's POV
I woke up early enough to go speak with the king, I asked him if Arielle could stay here because I didn't want to risk her getting caught by the sorcerer he told me that she was safe here and this was her home now, I thanked him and walked back to where she was, I sat down on the bed. I was about to get up and leave before she sat up in the bed
Dante: good morning princess
Arielle: good morning Dante
Dante: I spoke with the king he said you could stay here from now on, I have some business I have to take care of, I don't know when I will be back, Ari promise me that you will stay here
Arielle: when are you going to come back?
Dante: I don't know Arielle
Arielle: where will you go?
Dante: if I told you that I know you would follow me
Arielle: I'll go with you
Dante: no I need you to stay here, it's not safe for you out there
Arielle: you're all I have left Dante i can't lose you either
Dante: I will come back for you Arielle as soon as I know it's safe
Arielle: as long as you promise to come back to me alive
Dante: I promise Arielle, I just don't when I'll be back for you
He grabbed my hand and kissed it before he got up, put his armor on and left without saying anything else, I walked out on the balcony a few minutes later, I seen him change into the dragon again and watched as he flew over the castle and back towards his hometown, I knew what he was planning but I was gonna respect his wish and not go after him
Arielle: Dante please come back to me soon, I love you
Arielle's POV
-3 months later-
The kingdom had become my new home, I haven't heard from Dante since he told me that he was leaving, Lenia had become close to a guard named Zackary, I was out riding a horse when I seen a dragon land near the ocean I rode towards where it landed, after I got there I seen Dante standing there looking toward the ocean, I stopped the horse and ran towards him after I got off the horse, I jumped into his arms and he held me close
Arielle: I've missed you so much
Dante: I've missed you too Ari
