I wrapped a towel around myself and walked to my closet. Dom's text was still on my mind. I thought I was the only that kept thinking of the kiss, but apparently he does too.

My phone buzzed.

Dom: I really hope I didn't make things awkward between us...

Lilly: no its fine I think a kiss like that wouldn't be easily forgotten by anyone

I put my phone down and pulled a dress out of my closet. I really wanted to look good for the party. Maybe for Dom. I didn't really know anymore. It had been a long time since I had felt any kind of butterflies. The last time was probably when I was still together with my last boyfriend.

I tried to set Dom out of my mind as I waited for my uber. I knew I could probably drive but then I remembered I would probably drink.

The uber stopped outside my house and I got in. 'Uber for Lilly?' I gave him the address and sat back in my seat. Dom was on my mind again. I decided that I would just see what happened when I saw him. Things weren't awkward after the kiss, why would it be awkward now?

I was talking to some people at the party when I heard Dom's voice. I immediately turned around. 'Hi Dom!'  Dom blushed. 'Hi Lil.' We talked for a while and drank a little too much. We were both trying to not make things awkward, so every time that there was a moment of awkward silence we kept taking sips of our drinks.

After a couple hours you could say we were drunk enough to not be awkward anymore.

'I'm going home, do you want to come with me? We need to talk about what happened earlier without any Youtubers that could exidently pick up our conversation.' I said. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to ask a boy over to my house, but I knew that the worst thing that could happen was that we made out. And that's not bad at all.

We got into an uber and I quickly checked my phone. I had a text from Lauren.

Lauren: what's going on between you and Dom?

Me: what do you mean??

Lauren: you know exactly what I mean! You left together to go to your house!

Me: so? We're just friends

Lauren: I know that look you gave each other okay

Me: shut up it's nothing😂

Lauren: I'll get it out of you another time😝

I put my phone away and looked at Dom, who had been looking at me for a while. I didn't know if he was aware that I could feel his eyes on me. Not like I cared if he was looking at me. It was kinda cute.

We walked into my house and sat down on the couch. 'I'm sorry about that text, it wasn't meant for you. I hope it won't make things awkward and-' 'Dom..' 'I hope we can still-' 'Dom!' 'Be friends-' I put my hands in his neck. Dom stopped talking, clearly shocked by my action. 'Dom, it's okay. I have to be honest. I have been thinking about the kiss too, every time I see you.' I blushed. 'Really?' Dominic said. He sounded surprised but he seemed happy. 'Really. I haven't felt like this in years Dom.'

I moved closer to him and looked him right into his eyes. His cheeks flushed and he looked away. 'I really like you Lilly.' He said as he smile shyly. 'I like you too.' Dom leaned in. 'Can I...' I pulled Dom closer to me and pressed my lips on his. 'Don't ask.' I whispered.
