I looked up nervously. What if it was bad news that I didn't want to hear? I tried to read the doctor's face but he didn't express any kind of emotion.

'Lilly woke up and is currently on a lot of medication. She is going to be okay physically, except for some scarring. Mentally, I really cannot say. Ever since she woke up she's been in a very bad state and we're worried about her. Do you know what might be bothering her?'

I let out a sigh of relief. Lilly will survive. As long as she doesn't do anything stupid.

'Can I talk to her, please?' The doctor nodded. And walked away. 'Follow me.'

I looked at Lilly. She looked absolutely miserable. She looked so lifeless. The spark in her eyes was replaced by tears, the beautiful brown of her soft skin had turned pale and her arm was bandaged. Her pink lips lost color and I almost started crying by the sight of it all.

Lilly was always that light in people's lives, that person that would brighten up days and make everyone feel safe and happy. But the way she looked right now was the opposite of that. She looked depressed. And it was hurting every cell in my body to see her like this.

'Lilly...' Lilly looked up at me and a tear rolled down her cheek. 'I'm so sorry Dom, I'm so sorry for ruining your life,' Lilly whispered. Her voice cracked. 'You don't ruin my life Lilly, you don't ruin anyone's life. You make it better.'

Lilly shook her head and wiped her cheeks with the hand that wasn't tied to an immense amount of machines. 'I-I should have given up before i-it became ne-news.'

'Lilly, don't say that. I'm glad you never gave up. You made my life so much better and the past months were some of the best ones of my entire life. People love you, they still do. I met a girl in the hospital this morning and when I told her I was here for you, she was heartbroken. The poor girl comes her every month for a lung disease. She was so happy to know you were here and she left me her room number. She loves you Lilly. Just like so many other people do.'

The bandages on Lilly's arm were scary to me. Underneath them were the cuts that could have killed her. She wanted them to do that. But they didn't. I've never been this happy for something to not happen. She's awake. She's alive.

But she's not okay.

Not at all.

I was so worried about her and I wish I could go inside of her head and chase those demons away. They had to go. Leave Lilly alone. She didn't deserve this at all. She deserved the love she gets and the amazing things she gets to do. Not these demons that are convincing her she's not worth it anymore. That everything is over.

I didn't know what to do with the rest of this chapter sooo time to answer some questions!

Tired, I'm on my way back from Czech republic and I've not had vegetables, proper food or enough sleep for four days. But besides that I'm pretty happy! Yesterday was bad emotionally but it's good now❤️

When people write a story like it's a script because that makes stories so boring and hard to follow idk

How do you come up with this story?
Good question cuz I honestly have no idea. The drama just came because I got stressed and decided I needed everything to not go perfect. The love parts honestly come from reading too much fanfiction (you are all some dirty hoes)
