"That's great." Adam said.
"Yeah, I'm glad I will be committing a crime with my best friend." I said sarcastically.
"It'll be fine, what've we got to lose?" Molly asked.
"Um, our lifes, our phones, our-"
"Jase, I didn't need and explanation." Molly interrupted.
"Well you asked." He said.
"It was a form of a statement." Molly said in her smart tone.
"That made no sense." He said.
"Okay, can we stop arguing and talk about tomorrow night?" I begged.
"Well it takes 1 day and 7 hours to get there. I did some research and we need to get our hotel and get settled. Then we'll head out and eat. Then we're off!" Adam said.
"Ughh." I said, with the feeling of my stomach turning getting worse and worse by the minute. Right then and there there was kind of a silence. Jase broke that immediately.
"So're you guys ready?" He asked.
"Yeah, I guess." Molly said.
I grabbed my bags and got into the mini van. Yes- we had a mini van because we have so much stuff. According to Jase, it was a Dark Green, 2012 Honda Odyssey. It was not really that new though. It looked like it had been used for about 5 or 6 years- even though it had only been made 2 years ago.
"Are we really going in this?" I asked in a bratty voice.
"You wanna walk?" Jase asked.
I said nothing.
"That's what I thought. Now shut up and get in." He laughed.
The adrenaline was rushing to my head and I felt like I was going to pass out. I had a million things on my mind and the last thing I needed was passing out right before the adventure of my life. Notice how I called that an adventure? Well, I didn't know what else to call it in this case. So I just put the seat back and put my headphones in for a while. Yes, I thought. My favorite song was on. Talk that Talk by Rihanna. I love the way the beat goes. I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"What?" I hesitated taking my headphones out.
"Sorry, but do you have another pair? I have a book on tape that I want to listen to!" Molly asked.
"I think." I leaned over and shuffled through my bag.
"You've got to be kidding me!" I rubbed my head.
"What's wrong?" Molly asked.
I leaned in whispered. "I forgot my pills."
"Wait, what pills?" She asked.
"I haven't told you? Well I haven't told anybody actually. My mom doesn't even know. My back was hurting so I went to the pharmacy to get a subscription, and I got some. The pain didn't stop- it actually started to get worse. So I went to the doctor. And they said I had some weird thing. I don't know and don't really care what I had, I just know I needed those pills.
"Well, skipping a couple of days shouldn't hurt, right?" She asked.
"Yeah, I guess not." I sighed.
I put my headphones back in. Then I took them back out.
"Hey, are we going to stay in a hotel?" I asked.
"Yeah, Motel 6." Adam answered.
"Great." I complained.
"What?" He asked.
