MOLLY'S POV
The words didn't seem real. My bestfriend, dead? This has to be a dream.
"Wait, how did she die if the surgery went as planned?" I asked.
"Well, the surgery went fine, but right towards the end, everyone got sort of in a rush and one of our employees hit a wrong nerve. At that point, Priscilla had woken up and had a panic attack. I'm very sorry." Dr Harper explained.
"I COULD SUE YOU FOR THIS! OH MY GOD YOU GUYS ARE DOCTORS YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN A RUSH DURING SURGERY!" I yelled.
"Molly, calm down. I think we need to go call her parents." Jase said wrapping an arm around her.
Jase grabs his phone out and dials the number.
JASE'S POV
"Hello?" I heard a voice say on the other side of the phone.
"Hi, um- this is Jase. Is Mrs. Underwood there?" I asked.
"This is her. Well Jase, I wasn't expecting you to call. How's everyone?" She asked.
"Everyone's fine, but I have to tell you something that you probably aren't expecting." I told her.
"Okay, and what's that?"
"Priscilla.. she's..dead." I mumbled out.
"Wait, did I hear you correctly? For a minute I thought you said that-"
"Priscilla.Is.Dead." I interrupted.
"Oh my god, oh my god! Where are you at? I want the directions to this place immediately!" She screamed.
"We're at Park City Medical Center EMR. The address is 900 Valley Dr. Park City." I told her.
"We'll be there as soon as we can." I heard her say before I heard the noise that told me that she had hung up.
MOLLY'S POV
In abouyt twenty minutes, her parents were there.
"What happened? Oh my god, where is she?" Her mom asked.
"They're taking her body away right now." Adam jumped into the conversation.
"We were out, and somebody shot her in the leg. We have no idea who it was." Jase said.
"Ugh, why her!" Mrs.Underwood cried.
"It was an accident. I don't think the guy knew that the bullet hit her." Adam pleaded.
"I don't care what the guy was thinking, he shouldn't have fired the gun in the first place." Her dad said.
"Sir, I hate to interrupt, but this seems to not have been an accident." Dr. Harper claimed.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"We traced the gun back to the Mullingar residence. We phoned them and asked them a couple of questions. Turns out, these four were in the Mullingar's house with a gun, attempting murder." Dr. Harper spoke.
Instantly, we all froze. We knew now that Priscilla's dad was going to press charges against us.
"Mr. Underwood, are you going to want to press charges?"
"No, these kids obviously weren't thinking and they thought it'd be a joke. I'll take them home."
"Alright then, thank you." Dr. Harper said leaving the room.
We all sighed in relief. But little did we know that it was hardly even over.
"Oh, don't think you kids are just going to be off the hook. At her funeral, which will be in 2 weeks, you will each give a speech." Mrs. Underwood told us.
