Dr. O'Connor stepped in. We were thrilled about getting to work with the best Dr., supposedly. Dr. O'Connor explained "Today begins a long journey down a road of excellence". The "subjects" as he called them came in. "Welcome, Lauren, Jackie, Joe and Tanashé". We called Tanashé Tan, it was easier. He led us down a long and dark hall to an elevator. Their was an option to take some stairs but for some reason Dr. O'Connor didnt want to take them. We had no idea what we were walking into, we all thought it was a harmless expierment. We were all led down to jail like cells. Each person was put in the cells. Dr. O'Connor said "Welcome to your home for 2-3 months". The subjects said no words. Dr. O'Connor then also said "It has begun". We knew it had just begun. We were led back up the stairs. We automatically had questions. I asked "What is this experiment all about"? He says "Are you questioning my work"? I had a very scared look on my face. He pats me on the shoulder and says "Eh little buddy you should find out soon enough". I didnt know what he meant by this but I respected this. He sat down at the chair and started to stare at the screen. "It has begun" he said. Those words rang true.
It was later, I was at home ready for a long day at work tomorrow. I lived out in the country about 30 minutes away from Downtown. It was quiet and peaceful until I was awoken by a truck engine roar. Bright lights shined in the bedroom window. I had no idea who could be out this late in the country. Maybe just some lost travelers trying to get to the city. I was still edgy. I grabbed my gun from underneath my bed and went out my bedroom door/back door. I had a large shotgun. The truck inched closer as I stood there ready to die. I was edgy and without me even knowing, I pulled the trigger and my gun went off.
