"Lexie! Lexie wake up!" Dylan was pointing at a sign that said
"Welcome to Tennessee"
I just smiled.
"Just a little bit longer and we will be there," Dylan said.
Nashville makes him so happy. I loved seeing his smile.
"Aw, yay! I'm excited!"
"So when we get there after we unpack and get something to eat, I have to go record a new song, called Sweetheart. You haven't heard it yet," he said with a wink. "And you are gonna go. Because you HAVE to hear it. Then tonight I have to go to the artist party, and I want you to come. You don't have to though. Peyton is bringing his girlfriend, and there will be other females there that you might enjoy hanging out with."
I just laughed.
"Okay, it sounds fun!"
"Then the next night is Teen Hoot and then we have the rest of the week to do what we want. I have some things planned for us."
"That sounds amazing. You are really to sweet."
"Thank you. LOOK THERE IS THE HOTEL."
Dylan started doing this thing he called "fangirling." He is such a dork. We got all of our stuff and took it up to the hotel. We entered our room.
"We have two beds, so if you don't wanna get my cooties, you can sleep over there," he said pointing at the bed on the far side of the room.
I just started laughing.
We told his parents we were gonna go get something to eat and head to the studio.
"I will meet you guys at the studio at 5," says Ed.
The studio and plenty of resturants were in walking distance so, we decided to walk. As we were walking , I realized he was just staring at me, listening to me ramble on about the latest book I read.
We stopped.
"What?" I asked.
"You're adorable when you ramble."
I started blushing.
"And when you blush."
I just giggled. He grabbed my hand, and we started walking again. We went walked into this cute little pizza place. I can't pronounce the name, but everything was so neat. The food was really good, too. After we ate, we were walking down to the studio.
"Lexie, before we started dating....I wrote this song about you."
"Aw, Dylan. That's sweet. I can't wait to hear it."
We walked to the studio where we met up with David Malloy and Ed. Dylan got situated in the recording room and he started singing. I didn't catch all the lyrics, but this is what it sounded like,
"And i'm sorry that you don't feel beautiful today,but if you knew how love feels it might just show you a better way."
"Cause perfect's just a word that's used, but its a word that's used to describe the things you do. You should know you're perfect in every way. And everyone wants happiness but nobody wants the pain. But you can't make a rainbow without a little rain."
WIth happy tears in my eyes, I ran up to give him a hug. The biggest hug ever. In that moment, i knew he was the one. The one to never let go, no matter how hard it gets. He is the best boyfriend ever.
