We got back to the hotel and I took another shower. When I was finished with my nightly routine, I walked into the room and Dylan wasn't in there. I walked over to my phone. No new messages. I assumed he was in his parents' room, then the balcony door swung open. It was Dylan. He walked over to me and grabbed my hand. I didn't know what was going on, but i went with it. He pulled me out onto the balcony. There were candles, rose petals covered over the table, and a covered dish. He pulled the lid off of the dish and there were strawberries, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. He was so cheesy and romantic. That is one of the many qualities I love about him. I looked at him with a big smile on my face.
"Dylan, you didn't have to do all this."
"Yeah, but I wanted to," he said picking up a strawberry.
He dipped it in whipped cream and popped it into my mouth. We finished the strawberries and Dylan dipped his finger in the chocolate syrup and rubbed it on my nose. I wipped it off and gently punched him on his shoulder. He acted sad, and then I went over to him. I kissed my fingers and tapped his shoulder.
"It feels better now," he said in a little kid's voice.
I started to walk off, but he grabbed my hand.
"We're not through here."
He pushed a strand of loose hair from my face and gave me a kiss. A kiss that everyone dreams about having. It was perfect. I could feel him smiling. We sat back down and we looked up at the stars. I felt him staring at me.
"Your eyes shine brighter than the stars," he said.
I looked at him and smiled.
"Hey Lexie......"
"Yeah?"
"I....I love you."
"I love you, too Dylan."
I got up and walked over to him, giving him the biggest hug ever. He picked me up and carried me inside. He laid me down on my bed and turned on the tv. We were flipping through the channels and The Notebook came on.
"Dylan, I love this movie! Can we watch it?"
"Anything for the most beautiful girl in the world."
Before long, I drifted off to sleep. The next morning I woke up in Dylan's arms. He looked so cute when he was sleeping. I just sat there, admiring him. He looked so peaceful. Then the alarm clock went off, ruining the perfect moment. We got ready for Teen Hoot and then went to Waffle House. After we ate there, we walked around downtown Nashville. We met a few fans, none that I recognized. They didn't seem to pay any attention to me either. I was glad, because I still wasn't ready to talk to them. I was so scared. Before we knew it, it was time to go to Rocketown for the "soundcheck" and VIP meet and greet. Right when the doors opened, 30 girls came walking/running/jogging in. I decided to let Dylan have some time with his fans, so I walked around to look for Brandy. I finally found her trying to get through a group of girls. She ran over to me, "This is insane."
"I know! I'm so happy for the boys though. Dylan loves meeting his fans."
"Peyton does too. I love seeing the happiness on their face."
"I know, its so sweet."
After I finished that sentance, Maty and Jessica came running over towards me.
"LEXIE!" they screamed at the same time.
"Maty! Jessica! I'm so excited to finally meet you two! Did you get pictures with Dylan?"
"Yes we did," said Jessica.
"Do you want to see them?" asked Maty.
"Of course!" I exclaimed.
They showed me the pictures. Both, them and Dylan, looked so happy. It was very heart warming.
I got pictures with them, and we talked. They got pictures with Brandy and then Dylan walked up.
"Hey ladies, is it okay if I borrow Lexie for a minute?"
"Of course," they all said.
We walked backstage and he said, "Its about to start. Im gonna be the second performer. I'm gonna bring you up on stage, is that okay?"
"Um....Dylan. There are so many people here. What if I trip or make a fool of myself?"
"Just trust me."
I nodded my head. Peyton was the first preformer and then it was Dylan.
"Just trust me."
Those words replaying in my head.
Dylan fixed his mic and pulled up a chair.
"So, I have this new song, about a girl. She means a lot to me.....I was wondering if you guys wanted to hear it?"
The crowd cheered.
"Okay, I will sing it for you guys! Is it okay if I bring up the girl I wrote it about?"
Even more cheers.
I took a deep breath and Brandy gave me a pat on the back.
"They will love you," she said.
Flashing a smile her way, I walked on stage. There were TONS of girls. I was shaking. Dylan patted the chair and I went and sat down.
He sang sweetheart. The lyrics pouring from his mouth. It felt like we were the only ones there. It was perfect.
When he was done, he walked over and hugged me. He whispered in my ear, "They love you, I told you they would."
I just walked off of the stage laughing. He performed a few more songs and then he came into the room where me and Brandy were.
Brandy got up and walked out of the room. I knew she was doing that to give us some alone time. She read my mind.
Dylan just sat there all sweaty.
"You did amazing," I said.
"If it weren't for you being here, I wouldn't have."
"Why's that?"
"Because you are my good luck charm."
Then he did his cute little giggle. He was gonna perfom again, but in the meantime, I sat there rubbing his back. Then David walked in and told Dylan it was almost time. We got up. He briefly kissed me and then we walked out of the room. I sat side stage watching him. Brandy and I just stood there, dancing and being crazy. It was perfect.
