Sometimes, you gotta dance in the rain.

Months had passed. Senior year at CNE was almost over. Dylan and I had a perfect relationship. Brandy and I talked almost everyday. Her and Peyton's relationship is stronger than ever.

We were sitting in Dylan's room playing video games. It was just us there. Mama Stacy and Mr.Ed were at Cray's baseball game.

"You beat me everytime!" screamed Dylan.

"Its only because you let me"

"Maybe.....maybe not," he said with a wink.

Dylan caught me staring into space. He came and put his arms around me. He gave me a peck on the cheek.

"Lexie, is there something wrong?"

"I'm just scared, terrified actually.......of the future."

"Don't be. Everything is gonna be okay, I promise. I won't let anything bother you," he said in a caring tone.

"Yeah, but what happens when I go to Vanderbilt and you go to Ohio State?"

"We're gonna text, call, and skype every single day. We will get to see each other on holidays. I will try to come visit you once a month, too.

I sat there in silence. He has a way with words, or maybe its just the tone of his voice that lets me know everything will be okay.

He grabs my hand, "Lets go for a walk."

We walk outside. Not knowing where to go, I follow him. We ended up walking around the block. Once we were a few houses away from his, it started to rain.

"Oh my gosh. My hair and makeup!" I squealed.

"Oh quit being such a girl."

He ran and put me on his back. He gave me a piggy-back ride to his yard. He sat me down, "Dance with me."

"But Dylan, its raining, and there isn't any music."

"That's the point, silly."

He placed my arms around his neck, his arms around my waist, and we stood there, slow dancing in the rain. He pushed the hair out of my face. He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me. He let go, and pulled me inside the house. He handed me a towel, CNE baseball hoodie, and some sweat pants. I walked into the bathroom and got dried off. Then i put on the dry clothes. I pulled the hoodie up to my nose. It smells exactly like him. I walked into his living room. He was sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn. I went and plopped down beside him, letting out a sigh. I stuck my hand into the bowl and got a piece of popcorn and threw it at him. Of course, he ate it. Dylan looked over at me, "Since its storming and your parents aren't home, do you think you could stay the night?"

"Of course, I just have to text my mom and tell her."

Our families trust us, and Dylan wouldn't do anything to me, that would cause us to make choices that 18 year olds shouldn't have to make.

With a smile on his face, he pulled me closer to him. I don't think I could ever see myself with another boy than him. I don't want to be with another one, either.......
