Hope POV

After Tony and I's heart to heart things were better. Everyone came and apologized to me. I knew they were sincere so I accepted. I can't blame them for being a little scared after seeing that video. It warms my heart to know that Tony wasn't purposely ignoring me but instead trying to get rid of the darkness within me. I hadn't even though it was possible. He and Bruce haven't made any substantial progress yet but just the effort makes me feel really good. My chest feels all warm and I feel...well...I feel loved. I never thought I would but here with my friends no my family I feel loved. It's not that bad of a feeling.

Training has continued but at a relaxed pace and Tony has become almost overbearing. He pops up in front of me at random points in the day just to chat or pass along some wisdom or quote he read in a book. I don't complain though because I like that he is making such an effort and for me no less. Today I am ecstatic though because Steve, Natasha, Clint, Wanda, and Pietro have agreed to take me to a nearby park. I love going outside. As we step out of the doors of the tower I throw my head back closing me eyes and breathe in the sunlight sighing deeply.

"Every time," Steve chuckles softly. I look over at him questioningly but before I could ask Natasha pulls me away. We walk through the park just enjoying nature and each other's company. I felt so carefree as we headed back to the tower. Natasha walks up behind Clint and pats his back a little before continuing ahead of them. Something catches my eye. A little note is now stuck to the back of Clint's shirt exactly where Natasha had patted. I walk a little closer so I could read it. Kick me. I am confused but left it be. I probably just haven't been told about this yet. Wanda leans over as we walked into the tower.

"It's a joke. Watch what happens." I nod wondering what would occur. As we got to the living room, Thor walks out of the kitchen eating a Poptart.

"Want to play a video game, Hope?" asks Clint. I nod the games he has shown me so far had been very fun. I notice Thor studying Clint's back and then all of a sudden he pulls his leg back and kicks Clint hard causing him to fly across the room and crash into the couch.

"What the hell Thor?!" he shouts getting up.

"The note said to."

"What note?" Thor motions to his back and Clint reaches around grabbing the note and pulling it to his face. He flips it over and I look over his shoulder to see what it said. Gotcha. I hear Wanda and Pietro laughing hard on the other side of the room. I can't help but join in. I am dying of laughter when I noticed I was the only one laughing anymore. I slowly calm myself down to find everyone staring at me.

"What did I do?"

"Nothing, your laugh it just amazing," says Clint sitting down beside me on the couch where I had collapsed in laughter. "Now how about that game?" I nod enthusiastically. Wanda and Pietro play as well and soon the room was heated with competitiveness. Pietro ends up winning thanks to his speed. I sit back in the couch more content than I have ever felt in my life. Suddenly I feel the connection to my powers. I glance down and see violet energy forming at my hands again.

"Hope are you okay?" asks Clint worried.

"Yeah I can control this one. I know what is does." I let instinct take over. My hands slowly rise to my head. Once my hands touch my head I am no longer sitting on the couch. I look around and realize that I am back at that place. He is sitting at his desk talking to a tall man with dark oily long black hair and green eyes. He has a weird green and gold outfit on and a large scepter.

"We will move tomorrow. The Avengers will never know what hit them. They will be so busy that we will be able to take the asset back. As long as you provide a good enough distraction it should work," He says glancing at the tall man. My anger grows. What is he planning on doing to the Avengers, my family?! No one will ever hurt my family. The tall man just chuckles.

"Don't worry. They will very distracted. It will be ever so entertaining." I don't like the grin that spread across his face. It isn't a happy one. It is creepy and makes my stomach churn.

"Just make sure you don't harm the asset. I want her back in one piece. The machine has been upgraded and will work this time without any problem." My anger grows even more. I realize I am the asset. They want me back. They are going to hurt my family in order to get me back. They are going to put me in the machine again and wipe my memories. I would forget everything, the Avengers, my family, everything, I feet fear mix with my anger as the scene faded. The emotions boil in me. I open my eyes and realize I was back on the couch. I can sense people watching me but I don't have any control. All I see is red. But it is a darker red. Energy flows out of me and instinct takes over. I stand up and walk away but find my path blocked by Clint. That makes me really angry. The energy shoves him away and he falls into Pietro. I feel myself smirk. Anger always likes to cause pain.

Tony POV

I am just walking out of my super cool lab when I hear people shouting from upstairs.

"Jarvis, what's happening?" I run to the elevator and head up.

"It seems that Miss Hope has lost control of her powers and has just attacked Clint." That worries me instantly, I mean I don't love the guy but Hope sure does and she will never forgive herself for hurting him. What caused her to lose control? I run out of the elevator Steve, Bucky, and Natasha appearing beside me as we enter the living room. I am shocked. Hope is smirking like a stereotypical villain with dark red energy flowing off of her. Clint is sitting in front of Pietro holding his ribs. For now Hope's attention is focused on Clint. I step into the room and draw her attention to myself.

"Wanda," I speak softly so that Hope won't hear. "You need to find out what set her off and see if you can calm her mind down." I feel her slowly move to the side in order to get behind Hope. "I guess our job is distraction guys." I feel Steve, Bucky, Pietro, and Natasha come up behind me. I touch a button on my wrist and call my suit.

"Pietro, take Clint to Banner. Keep them in the lab," orders Steve the ever calm leader soldier thingy. Pietro moves fast, duh, grabbing Clint and heading out of the room. Steve grabs his shield and we all stand ready on the defensive.

"Why is it dark red this time? It was bright red the other time," asks Natasha. I am wondering this also.

"Maybe it's not exactly the same emotion as before," I suggest. We start moving around the room, slowly getting closer to the girl. As we get closer I notice that although her lips were smirking, her eyes aren't. Her eyes are scared. "Guys I think she's scared. Look at her eyes." The red energy snaps at me but I dodge. Ok apparently it doesn't like being talked about, annoying but understandable. It's not like I said anything bad but whatever. I am the closest to her now. I take another step forward and her eyes lock on me. I can see her face falter for a second.

"Don't."
