Tony's party came and went. I wore my dress and everyone told me I looked beautiful. No one had ever told me that before. It felt nice. I stay at the tower still with everybody. They still train me and my powers are completely under control now. Without the dark presence I can even fully control anger when it takes over though I usually still need an outlet for the excess energy. Loki has disappeared but Thor is tracking him. I hope he can someday get the brother back that he tells me about. Hydra has made a couple more attempts to get me but all have failed so far. But I don't think they will ever keep trying.

It's been almost a year since I came to live with the avengers, with my family. For the past few days everyone has been avoiding me. I think they are hiding something but I don't know what. I peek out of my room and notice Steve dart around the corner at the end of the hall. I follow him. He walks quickly through the living room and out onto the balcony. I see some tables set up but don't pay that much attention to them. I walked through the door only to not see him.

"SURPRISE!" everyone yells jumping up from behind the tables. I squeal and jump in well surprise. My heart races in my chest as a fall back onto my butt. Pietro races over and helps me up. I barely hear him mutter a soft sorry before he rejoins the others. I walk up to the table to see a cake there with two large candles sticking out of it. One was in the shape of a one and the other was a four.

"Happy Birthday!" Tony exclaims excitedly. I look at him confused. I know what a birthday is, Clint had explained it to me a while back, but I thought mine was still months away.

"We found out the date in your filewas wrong so since we don't know your actually birthday we thought we shouldcelebrate on the day you joined the family," explains Steve handing me a coneshaped hat that Tony, Bruce, and Clint were already wearing. Natasha lights thecandles and they all sing me happy birthday as the sun sets behind them. Clint hadexplained that when you blow out your birthday candles you get a wish. I look aroundthe group as they finish the song. I lean over and blow out the candles, butthe only thing I could think is that my wish had already come true. G
