"That is my knife." Ivar said calmly to Sigurd. Snake in the Eye glanced at his baby brother seated at the table and continued to carve. "That," Ivar repeated. "is my knife." He said slowly with an eerily calm voice.
"No, it is not."
Ivar reached his hand out. "Give it to me."
"You're crazy, it's not your knife!" Sigurd snapped at Boneless. "Father gave me this knife."
"I want it." The youngest brother grunted softly and pushed his body to the floor. "I will kill Lagertha with it." Ivar began crawling to Sigurd. "I will kill Lagertha with Father's knife." He said casually with a little shrugg.
Sigurd scoffed. "Well, you can't have it." He walked past Ivar and sat down on a stool.
Ubbe sighed and rubbed his sore eyes, tired from a heated night with with the servant girl. Out of habit, he glanced a Aila for help. This was ridiculous, Aila thought. "That's enough!" Aila Bloodeye said to the rivaling brothers without as much as glancing in their direction. On the table were four arrow heads. Between her fingers was a cup of ale.
Ignoring her, Ivar grabbed a foot of the stool Sigurd sat on and yanked it aside. Sigurd fell. He grunted and tried to get up when Ivar grabbed him by the arms. "Give it to me!" Hissed Boneless and reached for the knife that Sigurd held as high up as he could, making him grab the collar of Snake in the Eye's vest and slam his forehead against his brother's, making them both grunt.
Ubbe sighed dramatically and raised his head. He stared at the ceiling for a brief moment before standing up. The eldest present stood up and grabbed Ivar by the collar of his coatee, literally throwing him to the side. A string of curses came from Ivar, mostly because of the pain in his legs. "Get up!" Ubbe said and forced Sigurd to stand. "Hey! We have important decisions to make."
"As usual you must tell us how to behave!"
Aila looked down at her cup of ale and had the urge to punch Sigurd for his comment. "Who else will do it?" Growled Bloodeye. Her voice was laced with venom and she met his light coloured eyes, raising a brow, and Sigurd scowled at her. He scoffed and crossed his arms as he turned around.
Sitting down, Ubbe rubbed his temple and exhaled heavily. "I wish Björn was here." He missed Björn . . . Björn would have known what to do in their situation.
"You think he knows about Father?"
Ivar looked at Sigurd as if he were an imbecile. "Oh, so you think that Odin told us but forgot to tell Björn? Hmm?" He tapped the side of the blade against his temple, basically telling his brother that he was an imbecile.
