Disgusted, the man of God shouted, "»HEATHEEENNN!«" but Ivar the Boneless only laughed. His warriors laughed with him.
"»Christian.«" He said calmly. Ivar motioned for his warriors to lead the man away.

Lightning lit up the land. Thunder roared and broke the silence.
Every viking in the old church watched him.
The Saxon man lied on his side, leaning against a large pillar with chains locked around his wrists. He trembled, his hands and arms shaking in both cold and pain, his breath shaky, but with eyes filled with hatred and rage as the crippled viking crawled up to him.

One of Ivar's bodyguards bowed his head before he spoke. "The Saxon army," He said then quickly added, "or what remains of it," before continuing, "has abandoned their camp and left."
Ivar nodded. He waved his hand, telling the man to leave, then turned to Hvitserk. His brother forced a smile, knowing full well what Ivar was about to say. "If you want to," Ivar said. "we can pursue them and destroy them."
