Raidyn
We were all lined up; Bren, Finn, Harking, Jax, Aslo, a bunch of my people, and I. Raven was back near the castle, her job being deflecting the arrows from hitting me, almost acting as a wind shield-she had on her best concentration despite the nerves of this being her first fight. I was at the head of the triangle formation because this was my kingdom, my castle, really my war with this new tyrant. I wasn't the least bit afraid. The only power he had on me was those arrows and now that his weapon was revealed he has nothing. I always come cunningly prepared when I'm aware of the dangers; and I most certainly am now.
In the distance I can see them approaching, trickling through the streets of my village with the color blue-bright blue, Valdus's favorite. I don't know which was more sickening, the fact that Belmont was avenging his evil uncle and is just as bad or the fact that Byrd's father was funding him and working with the same line who took his daughter away in the first place. Both of them see me as the common enemy, but in the alliance they are the true enemies-evil to their very core.
I didn't understand Cynric and his logic. What messed him up so terribly that he mentally saw this as okay? Could it have been Byrd's kidnapping or was it before? What justifies this to him? How could he even stand to work alongside Belmont? It almost makes me suspect that he had something to do with Valdus going bad and Byrd's kidnapping in the first place; I wouldn't be surprised.
I know Belmont has archers set and actually spot a few. Since he lives by his uncle's principles I know that he has people of magic fighting for him-doing his dirty work. Behind me I feel heat radiating off of Bren's hands. Jax was calling out to our troops of men, yelling in code of our plans, preparing them for the battle just a minute away now. Finn wore a bold and determined face, he was made for the battlefield. The front of my castle was beginning to be a stage of too many battles. It cause panic and chaos in my village which is why I know so many volunteered to put an end to the madness. When I announced the situation to my people, they were supportive and understanding-they too know that we are on the just side of things.
The first arrow flies and Raven un-seemingly reflects it, I watch happily as the surprise plays off on Belmont's face. Of course the coward wasn't leading his men; he stood in the middle of the mass wearing a funny shaped hat. What a doofus. His men and crowd were evenly matched.
I'm guessing what was the best fighter Belmont had was leading the charge. He came directly for me. This man's muscles ever crazy large-almost disgustingly in his arms. It didn't take me long to figure out his power when he smashed a fist to the ground and caused a crack in the stone, shaking the land and every building, even my castle swayed-angering me-sending me over the edge as my formation was also messed up. The older bricks fall from the castle and cause a scream I know belonged to Raven to escape from her lips. Foolishly, I whip my head back to see her jump out of the way. When I turn back around the man is smiling at me. Next thing I know, his fist is flying towards my face. I end up getting clocked in the nose by the monster in front of me. My head jerks back and instantly blood pours down my face; like it was second nature to me I zap the man to a crisp. I shoot lightning at him and I can smell his fried flesh body as he drops dead in front of me.
Halfway through the battle and Raven was still doing an amazing job at creating her airfield. It was a couple hours in and I know those on both sides were getting tired, hopefully the end was near. Besides the blow to my nose, nothing that back has happened, just a couple marks here and there but nothing that would scar too badly. After finishing off another man, I glance around the field. All around me people are matched. Blue versus black, green, red, and white. On the opposite side a duplicator was put up against Finn, I watch with fascination has he crushes skull after skull until he gets to the original copy of the man and crushes his skull once in for all. Finn smiles back at me; dried blood splattered on both of us, both ours and our rivals. I knew then and there that this would be a triumphant battle on our side. Belmont was too scared to come near me it seemed, the fear emanated from him practically, he knew it was best to stay away from me, such a coward. I swear the Gods that by the end of this fight I will go after him myself-no matter who or what he sends to me to stand in my way.
