I found myself sleeping in a lot more than usual. Exhaustion seemed to be the persistent feeling I've had all this week. Even though all I wanted to do was sleep it's Raidyn's birthday so I force myself awake. I roll over and wrap my arms around him. He's already awake and smiling; he looks like he's the happiest person in the entire world. His silk black hair is wavy and falls in front of his face. He tucks it back and pulls me in close to him. I look at the powerful muscles holding me.

"Twenty-four years old." I kiss his cheek. "Old man." I croon a smile as I run my hand along his cheek.

"I proposed to you a year ago today." He gives me a toothy grin back.

I look down at my black diamond engaged ring. "The fourth best day of my life." I smile. The first is obviously the birth of my son, the second is marrying Raidyn and the third probably meeting him.

"I'll never forget it." He snuggles up to me.

"Neither will I." I climb on top of him and stare into his eyes. "I fear I don't have much to offer you this birthday." I frown. "I mean you gave me such a beautiful and wonderful gift, and mine I don't think mine even compares. So don't be disappointed."

"I should've knocked you up like a month ago...or actually, just hand me Ries-he's the most perfect gift."

I continue to frown as I climb off him and head over to the dresser drawer. I grab his gift that I wrapped terribly in black wrapping paper. I walk over to him anxiously--I can feel my heart beating. "Now I know why you were so nervous." I chuckle.

He raises his eyebrows. "Can I open it now?"

I sit on the edge of the bed and I hand him his present. I watch him careful as he tears open the black wrapping paper and holds the gold pocket watch in his hands.

"Raven and I found it in your parent's storage--I think it belonged to your father. I had it restored but the man said clock was broke and couldn't be fixed. I put a picture of Ries and our wedding photo in it." I bite at my lip nervously as I watch him open it and analyze the pocket watch.

"It was my father's." He continually stares down at it. "I love it, thank you, Byrd. It is the most thoughtful gift that I've ever received." The sound is his voice genuine.

I lean in to kiss him. "Happy birthday Raidyn."

He pulls my face back to his own. "Damn, it's my birthday let me get a real kiss like you mean it." He teases playfully.

I chuckle as I crawl over him and push him back. I press my lips passionately against his as my hands greedily run down his body and then when I rub up I dip into his shirt feeling his bare skin below me. I pull back after a minute leaving him with the lingering feeling of my lips. "I have to get your second gift." I say sing-song as I climb off of him.

"Second gift?" Raidyn says confused.

I walk over to the crib and pull out Ries who is wide awake and smiling. "Someone wants to say happy birthday to their favorite daddy." Ries start to coo and move his arms up and down.

"Favorite daddy? Try only daddy." Raidyn chuckles.

"To my favorite person in the entire world." I say in my baby voice as I hand over Ries to him. Ries makes his usual 'ah' sounds which I begin to translate. "I love you, dad."

"You, my son, are by far the best gift I've received. Nothing can top the family your mother has given me." Raidyn kisses Ries multiple times over. My heart beats so fast from happiness; my beautiful son and my handsome husband. Twins is what they're going to be.

I kiss Raidyn's cheek and then the top of the baby's head. "You're old now, dad. You're not as young and cool like mom."

"You have to watch out for those younger women, son. They're trouble." He purposely peers up at me.
