I stayed in the infirmary with Bren overnight as we watch over Flora. I could barely sleep, I think I just watched her the entire night. I couldn't imagine the pain she is going through. I stand up not being able to emotionally take it anymore. It was maybe eight o'clock in the morning anyways so I figured I might as well grab breakfast and check on Riesner.

In the kitchen waiting for me food Raven comes in frantically like she's been looking for me. I still felt gross in my clothes stained with her blood luckily what I'm wearing is black and you can't tell.

"Byrd! There you are!"

"Raven." I smirk at her. "How are you?" I look her up and down.

"Like you can notice a change!" She scolds. "Gods, where have you been hiding out? I couldn't find you anywhere."

"I've been with Flora." I try not to go into too much detail. "So, tell me everything."

"Well, I'll spare you the details, but it was marvelous. You were right, I had nothing to worry about." She grins ear to ear.

"I take it you need a tonic?" I smile at her.

"Oh, yes-yes!" Her face drops. "I can't believe I forgot that part; probably because I've been looking for you all morning!"

"Come on." I chuckle as I move her along to the healers. We discreetly ask for the contraceptive tonic and the healer who is also taking care of Flora hands us one from the cooler. I watch as she downs the purple liquid.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here Princess Raven?" Bren smirks.

Raven nearly almost drops the vial the tonic is in. "Bren." She growls. "Don't you dare open your mouth about this."

"I've been waiting to you to cross over to this dark side for quite some time now." He chuckles.

"Go away, Bren." I roll my eyes.

"I am only here in cater to Flora, I was just sent to get her breakfast and I really couldn't help but comment on his." Bren still taunts. "You know Raven, just think about how less innocent you are now, you're finally joining the real realm, congratulations."

"Go get your girlfriend some breakfast and stop teasing her." I put my hand on Raven's shoulder.

"Teasing? He's harassing me." Raven growls. "Keep this up Bren and I promise to make your life terrible."

"I'm going to go to the kitchen now for Flora, my wife, I'm sure I'll see you down there soon, Raven, you probably worked up quite the appetite."

I grab ahold of Bren's arm and pull back when I feel how hot he is. "What did you mean, my wife?"

"Flora is my wife."

"There was no wedding." I state.

"And?"

"And you guys have never signed any of the papers, you're not legally husband and wife." I raise my eyebrow.

"Not legally yet, but we will be. We do have a paper signed." He smirks.

I roll my eyes. Gods he pisses me off. "Just go get her breakfast." I look to Raven. "There's something I have to do. I'll catch up with you later."

I grab a bucket of water and cloth as I head to Flora's room to begin scrubbing the blood from the floor and sheets. It makes me slightly gag. I don't know why I didn't just call for someone to clean it either--I just wanted to do something. I want to help Flora out in anyway I can.

Raidyn stands at the threshold and watches me for a few seconds before sighing.

I wipe my nose and try to calm down as I scrub the floor. "It isn't fair." I shake my head. "She was just getting use to being pregnant--she was happy!"
