(A/N: I don't own the Host Club just Ryuu and small parts of the story.)
"I quit." Ryuu said grabbing her bag and storming away as angry tears welled up in her eyes.
The host club was struck dumb with shock at the event. But, Renge was smiling at Ryuu's disappearance and it was a huge smile. Honey was the first of the club to react to Ryuu's disappearance bursting into tears, he ran to the door trying to stop her from leaving but when he reached the door she wasn't even there. Still upset he moved to the window where Ryuu would always sit. He curled into a ball crying at the loss of his friend. Perking up he noticed a small envelope. With a sniffle he brushed away the tears and opened the letter, the paper was writing in a wonderful calligraphy. Honey brushed away all the tears ignoring the other hosts as they held their own conversations about similar matters. Looking at the calligraphy Honey began to read.
"Dear whomever is reading this,
I have probably just left the Host Club. I am unsure whether or not I will be coming back to the club after certain matters are resolved. This is due to the fact that recently I have noticed a drastic change in my feelings for another certain host. But as a goodbye gift for my sweet little sweetie I baked a cake, it is hidden behind the curtains.
Thanks for Everything,
Ryuu Inoyuka."
Honey jumped from his seat, trotted over to the curtains and pulled it to the side. Revealing the large 3-tier cake Ryuu had just made for him. He took the smallest top tier placing it on a plate and returned to his seat at the window. He gazed longingly out the window only stopping to demolish more and more cake.
(Location Switch)
Ryuu arrived home turning off her skateboard. Ryuu stormed into her families empty mansion slamming the double doors closed as she continued in her house. Right after she had left the school property she wasn't able to hold in the tears anymore. So with tears still flooding off her cheeks she ran up to her room. Ryuu fell on her bed moaning sadly. Hiccups started forming in the back of her throat. For a long time she stayed clutching one of her pillows. Her phone continually vibrated in her blazer pocket. Not once did she check it, eventually sick of it she pulled out the phone from her pocket and chucked it. The phone landed on one of the bean bag chairs and sunk down. Ryuu pulled herself up and began to hug her Yuuko (The Bunny given to her by Honey-Senpai). Rage filled her total being as she thought back to Renge.
"How dare she!? What gives that stupid overly obsessed otaku bow wearing otaku the right to say that I was utterly useless?" Why the hell didn't anyone speak up against her? Screw her, and screw that damn host club!!" Ryuu said grabbing the photo album and throwing it to the floor. More tears fell as she took a hold of the picture frame. Her arm swung down but her hand resisted the command to let go. Again and again Ryuu tried to throw it down but her hands clung to it like their last lifeline.
Ryuu then flipped over the picture looking at the portrait side. Tears slid down her pale cheeks dropping onto the photo. She stared longingly at her picture, wishing to go back to the time and enjoy it even more now than ever. Ryuu brought the picture up to her chest and fell to her side evidently crying herself to sleep.
(I know Ryuu's acting like a hormone induced girl. But i'm basing this off of some of my experiences in dealing with some L-O-V-E problems.)
(Time skip)
When Ryuu's alarm clock woke her up two mornings later she slammed her fist down into it causing the poor clock to break into millions of tiny pieces under her fist. Ryuu now stood up, rubbing her eyes as she stood up. She had slept a whole day along with the time from two days ago.
Noticing a wretched smell Ryuu looked down to see she was still wearing her uniform. Her nose crinkled as she peeled the dirty uniform off and changed into a clean grey oversized t-shirt going down her waist and a simple pair of plaid boxers. Taking her laptop from the night table she also retrieved her cell phone from the beanbag and her favorite blanket from where it lay on the foot of the bed. She left her room and walked down the steps into the living room/ball room.
Which currently had a four-person couch, 2 armchairs and a love seat; all of which surrounded the fireplace, which had a flat screen TV attached to it. Ryuu flipped over and landed on the couch taking the remote into her hand she flipped through the channels until she found her favorite anime channel.
Yes, she loved anime; it was one of her only every day escape but it didn't make her an Otaku. (In japan it's not a complement like in the US). She also liked reading manga and normal books, playing instruments, writing and sketching if she could get the time which never happens.
But back to reality... Ryuu turned her phone on only to find hundreds of texts, and missed calls. Ryuu still furious with almost everyone, she ignored the texts and calls and discarded the phone next to her. Then turning her attention to to her laptop she slowly made progress on work her father had sent her the past three nights. By noon all of the necessary work was completed and Ryuu also finished another whole day of work. With a loud yawn Ryuu stood up from the couch. Then walking to the laundry room she grabbed a pair of baggy faded jeans from the dryer along with a plain dark green zip up hoodie. Ryuu pulled on a pair of her worn out sneakers: next before exiting the house she shut off the TV and turned off all electronics. Then as she left the room she checked one more time taking her phone and wallet in hand. Walking out the house she locked the door behind her and pulled the hood on to cover her head.
"This is a huge pain in the ass." Ryuu sighed leaving her family's property.
She set out for the nearest fast food joint. It took her about 15 minutes to get there, and after Ryuu ordered her food she waited in a both until the food came. The food came quickly after and Ryuu ate the food zoning out while looking out the window. After 2 hamburgers and 2 or 3 French fries she grabbed her leftover food and left the restaurant. With the leftover food in hand she walked to a nearby public park.
A tired Ryuu lay down on an open field, for what felt like hours she laid there watching the clouds as they passed by. She continued to eat her lunch as she watched the clouds. Soon a warm breeze carried Ryuu off to sleep.
(Time Skip)
"Beep Beep! Beep Beep!" Ryuu's phone went off signaling a new voice mail. Ryuu jolted awake out of her restless slumber. Unlocking her phone she turned on the phone and went right to voice mail.
"You have one new voice mail." The automated response said before the voice mail began.
"Ryuu-chan!!! Ryuu-chan!!!! You've got to come back. Renge keeps scaring me and making me cry... Plus she is changing everything about the club!" Honey cried into the phone. Something flipped inside of Ryuu, she snapped breaking the cup in her hands.
"How dare she?!" Ryuu stood up feeling furious.
"She can call me useless, fire me from the host club, even hang onto my man. But no one, NO ONE! Can make my sweetie cry!" Ryuu barked causing everyone to stare. It was an understatement to say that Ryuu was angry with Renge. She looked at the map on her iPhone and set off running to the high school. Minutes later Ryuu found herself hopping the ugly pink schools ginormous fence.
