Chapter Two

20 years later

Edward Jr.’s POV

It was winter break and we came back to Forks to visit Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Sue. Grandpa finally found the courage to ask Grandma Sue to marry him. Dad and Mom were in the front seat and I was all alone in the back. Renesmee and her new husband Jacob were going to take their own car cause they were going to stop by some open houses. They started looking for a new house right after they came back from their honey moon cause I don’t think anyone would want to be in the same house as them right now cause they are still in their honey moon phase.

We pulled our silver Volvo into Grandpa’s garage. Honestly I didn’t like the Volvo to much but Mom says it reminds her of the old times, whatever that means, so we always use it when we come to Forks. We got out of the car and walked to the front door. Dad rang the door bell and almost instantly Seth came out. Yeah he was my uncle but he’s not so old so we just call him Seth.

“Hey guys!” he chirped

“Hey Seth” Mom said giving him a hug, I think he is mom’s favorite step sibling because aunt Leah was kind of hot tempered but ever since she found her mate, Josh, she has been really chill. They are getting married in the summer.

We walked in the house and were greeted by the whole pack and Grandpa and some of the Elders.

“Bells!” Grandpa said. He came in the room with Grandma Sue. They both greeted us and we all got stuffed into the small living room. 

After a short time of just sitting around, talking, and goofing off we heard the doorbell ring and it just so happened to be my annoying little sister and Jacob. Right as they came in everyone started to file into the kitchen for food, well everyone but Mom and Dad cause they are real vampires unlike me and Nessie, we’re just half-breads. When everyone was back in the living room and eating Aunt Leah and Uncle Josh stood up and came to the center of the room, everyone quieted down and looked at them.

“We have some news,” Josh said.

“We’re moving up the wedding to January first.” Leah finished for him with a huge smile on her face.

“What? Why?” Seth asked looking at them with a suspicious look.

“Because I’m pregnant” Leah said proudly giving Josh a peck on the lips still smiling.Everyone started congratulating them including Mom and Dad except for Grandma and Grandpa because I think they already knew.

“Wait, I thought you couldn’t get pregnant with you being a wolf and all.” Seth said .

“Well turns out I can.” Leah said, a little hurt was showing in her eyes that her own brother would ask that question but it quickly left when Seth came to her and gave her a big hug.

“Well congrats” he said happily.

“I think we are going to have to make our stay longer if we are going to attend this wedding.” Mom said looking over to Dad to see if he agreed. He just smiled and nodded.

“Whatever makes you happy.” He said. Mom smiled to that and kissed him.

“Eew. Get a room.” I stated throwing a pillow at them both. Mom and Dad separated and just smiled. I think I just gave them an idea. GROSS.

“Well if you are going to get married next month which is just like 8 days away without including today. We have to seriously start working on everything right away.” Renesmee said with the same glint in her eyes that Alice gets when she has an idea. All the girls left the room and into the kitchen to start the planning, which left us guys behind.

Finally they are gone. Grandpa quickly turned on the T.V and we all watched the Football match Packers VS. Stealers. After a while Mom came back and sat next to Dad.

“I think we should go home right now Nessie has to wake up early to go dress shopping.” Mom said to Dad. Well of course Dad listened to her, what a surprise (note the sarcasm).

We said our goodbyes and left the house with Jacob and Nessie tagging along behind us. When we went home to the house Nessie and I were born in, it was only around 9 o’clock. Dad and Mom said they were gonna go to the cottage which is not so far from this house. When they left so did Jacob and Nessie, they took every chance they could to be together because Dad would never let them do anything before the marriage. So in the end I was the only one left in the living room and to my annoyance I started to hear disturbing sounds coming from upstairs in Nessie’s room. Eew, I quickly grabbed my wallet and the keys to my car and left the house before the sounds got louder.

I walked into the garage where I found my Porsche Boxter S (image to the side) and hopped in. I honestly didn’t know where I was going to go but anywhere but here sounded good to me. I left the house and roamed around Forks. It’s been a while since I’ve been here. The last time I was here was when Gramps had a minor heart attack 2 summers ago. Usually, Grandma and Grandpa just come over to our house in Port Orford, Oregon.

As I was driving with my windows down ,a scent hit me, it wasn’t human. It wasn’t vampire either; it was kinda in the middle?
