Today, Professor Kingsley taught us yet another spell, the wand-lighting spell. According to the Beginner's Guide to Spellwork that we used for class, the wand-lighting spell was a simple spell which illuminated the tip of the user's wand, casting a light in the immediate vicinity of the user. Professor Kingsley went to add on that a strong and bright enough wand-lighting spell can even repel evil spectres and even some dangerous creatures.

After Professor Kingsley had finished teaching the class about the spell's incantation and the runic symbol needed to be traced to cast it, he made the class cast the spell for ourselves. I found the wand-lighting spell fairly easy to cast. After just two tries, I had managed to light up the tip of my wand. I was not the only one in class who found it easy to cast the wand-lighting spell. Benjamin, Mia as well as the rest of the class didn't have any trouble casting the spell. After all, it was a fairly easy spell to cast. The Beginner's Guide to Spellwork did say as much. Proud of the class' quick mastery of the spell, Professor Kingsley gave each and every one of us a piece of sweet to enjoy after class.
