HAILEY

"Yay! Finally done!" Emma exclaimed, her eyes fullfieled with excitement.

"I'm pretty sure if somebody from our school met you dressed like that, he wouldn't recognize you. I seriously have to consider a fashion career." She added in an enthousiastic tone.

"Hum hum" She crossed her arms, waiting for my reaction.

I hesitated a moment before checking out my current reflection in the mirror, I was afraid it will occure me in front of Emma.

What if she thinks I'm a weird crap?
What if she starts ignoring me?
What if she quiets being my friend?
What if she decides to tell everyone?
What if I had to spend the entire rest of my high school life alone and bullied?

I definitely don't want her to find out about it.

I took a brief step, praying deep inside, my hallucinations will not show up again once look into the mirror.

My hands started shaking none stop at that moment.

"What's up with you? Afraid to admit how skilled I am? Huh?" She brought her hand to her mouth chuckling silently.

Emma, all of sudden, patted my shoulder as a sign of support. As if she felt my frustation.

My eyes widned a little as I saw the final result of Emma's magical work on me.

"W-woah...this is really.." I couldn't find the right exact words to describe my surprise.

"Professional, right?"

I was wearing a long sleeves black dress reaching below my knees, it hugged my body well, showing up my curves in a good way, I put on a matching high heels making my legs look longer. While my makeup was simple yet so mesmerizing, a thin line of eyeliner with a light hint of Mascara and a red colored lipstick.

All this looked so odd to me.

A party, a dress, high heels and even a friend.

I diverted my attention to Emma pulling her into a tight friendly hug.

"Emma, your brother is right here, waiting-" said mum as she entered the room, staring at us in an aw's expression.

Her eyes started to full up with tears.

"Mom." I exclaimed.

Total silent filled the room for a while.

I stole few glances at Emma who seemed to be confused.

"Erm...Mom? What's going on?" I asked, worried, stepping a little closer to her.

"My little daughter has grown up so fast..I-I didn't even realise it." She exploded in tears.

Me and Emma couldn't help it but brust into a loud session of laughter.

"Cmon Mum, don't be so emotional, you know that I'll always stay your baby, forever and ever." I said with a warm smile and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Enough drama for today" She said as she wiped her tears with her sleeves

"Emmanuel is waiting for you girls, enjoy"
