DARE YOU TO SAY THE TRUTH

H A I L E Y

I don't understand why parties look so sweet in movies.

Fun, dancing and meeting amazing new people.

It is far from being the case for this party.

When I saw Emma's heart-broken expression after this small reunion with a certain Edward, Luke or whatever he is called, something just broke in me as well.

I don't know the details about their relationship but it is too obvious.

Everyone with a normal intelligence level could have concluded that Luke is Emma's ex and she clearly not over him yet.

She maybe can hide it from him but not from me, from us.

As far as I remember, she told me about every crush of hers, fangirling attitude but why not Luke?

I don't blame her though, shit happens.

I guess that we all have a secret life.

I don't know what to do to help her, I really suck at comforting others. Her make-up being screwed up was the only lame thing I found.

I was studying every Emma's move since we came back to our table.

I saw her passionate-if-only-I-was-with-them- look, watching the group playing truth or dare in the corner, out in the garden next to the swimming pool. Thus, when the blonde blue-eyed girl invited us to play, I couldn't just say no.

I was looking for a way to help her feel better and here it is.

I diverted my gaze to her and a huge smile spreads across her face spelling thanks to me as we comfortably took place among this little bunch of teenagers playing.

"So let's start another rou-"

"Dare to play without me?" A masculine familiar voice cut off the girl, which made most of us look at him, except me.

"Luke" The blondette just decided to break the tension on the air, shock obvious in her tone.

Huh? Luke?

I directly looked up only to realised that it was, actually, the Luke we just met a few minutes ago with two girls on his sides.

Gosh. Does the party orbite around him?

"Angelina, long time no see" He made hisself comfortable, pressed agaisnt a red head, right in front of me.

"When did you came back from Europe?" She got no answers.

"Luke, I don't think your in a state to play"  Angelina states, rolling her eyes in frustration.

I noticed him looking at me, so I pass him an indiferent look, only to realise he is not smiling at me but giving a malicious smirk to Emma who gave him a deadly glare in return.

If looks could kill, Luke may probably be in his grave right now.

" Worry about your fake eyelashes Angelina. I am perfectly sober"  He gave her an arrogant smile. "Just one round, okay?" He said as he gets ready to spin the bottle.

"Luke!" Another boyish familiar voice interupted Luke.

When the hell are they planning to play that round so I could leave this blackhole?

"Gotta go, I am bored"  It was James. I looked away as soon as our eyes met.

"Hell no! Not before a round of truth or dare" Luke claimed. "Or are you afraid to spill your darkest beens?" he said challengingly.
