Chase
I'm so scared to becoming home. Especially after my moms death. It's now my job to bring the packs spirits up.
What will my little Storm think? Will she even remember me?
Oh I hope she does I've missed her so much. Would she be mad at me for leaving her in the first place?
"Alpha Chase?" My beta Ace asks, taking me out of my thoughts.
"Yes Ace?" I groan knowing he's about to say something stupid but what came out next surprised me. Especially coming from him.
"What if we find our mates? Does that make us weak?"
Ace never really thinks about this type of stuff. He's live in the moment, protect what you want to believe.
"No. My mother made my father stronger than ever." I assure him.
"Chase. She's dead and we all know your father weakened when that happened." He whispers.
I send him a glare letting him off with a warning. Ace quickly understands and closes his eyes to nap.
The car hits a speed bump and makes Ace hit his head on the window.
He whimpers in pain and I laugh as him."Alpha. We're here." Ace's voice chimes into my sleep.
I get to see my pack! My father! Little sister!Let's not forget be the biggest baddest Alpha any other pack has seen. They'll all be afraid of me. They won't ever mess with my pack after Alpha Max steps down.
I leap out of the car and look around. My beautiful pack stares at me as I do them.
"Alpha! Welcome home!" someone yells creating cheer through out the whole pack.
After people get to know me I walk back over to Ace.
"My pack. This is your beta Ace. If you have problems and I'm not there he's in charge. Come to him. He was chosen for great reasons" I tell them in my Alpha voice setting a hand on his shoulder.
"Yes Alpha."
A sweet sweet smell of Cotton candy hits my nose. It wakes the wolf inside me.
"Find it!"
I trail my eyes around looking for cotton candy but to my disappointment all I found was my father.
"Dad!"
I run and pull him into a tight hug. I feel so bad for this man. After losing mom. It had to kill him. Storm probably doesn't even remember her or me. The horses are probably depressed. My mom was the greatest impact the world could ever see.
Storm.
I let my father out of the hug I tower over him now.
"Where's my Stormy?"
He looks very sad tears in his eyes. The news I did not want to here was coming.
"Chase I know you were counting on her sight coming back so she could be your third in command..." he trails off looking around for I assume Storm.
I already know where this is going. The pack gets very silent no one dares to speak. She's still blind.
"You don't have to say it," I whisper. Thinking about the information that was given to me. I'm going to make them pay. The pack who killed mom and the pack who tried to kill Storm.
"I still wanna see her."
Just as I said that the scent of cotton candy hit my nose again. My wolf snaps our head in the direction of the scent. A girl with white hair parts her way out of the crowd. She had a bag of cotton candy covering her face.
How can she see past that? The bag is full to the brim with blue cotton candy.
Oh my that's Storm!
"Stormy!"
I run and pick up the small figure giving her a tight hug.
Tingles of happiness run through me.
Storm on the other hand screams bloody murder and thrashed around trying to break from me.
"Chase put her down!" Father yells.
I put her safely on the floor and let her go. She wipes her tears and reaches her hand out. Thinking it was for me I step forward to take it.
"Chase." Father says softly.
I step back a watch as he takes her hand. For some reason this made me angry. Stormy didn't trust me? She didn't remember me.
"Storm this is your brother Chase."
My father takes her hand and lifts it up and places it on my shoulder. She's so small she had to go on her tippy toes. If I didn't know her age I would think she's 10. She moves her hand to my face and feels ever crack and crevice on my face. Sparks of excitement follow her touch.
Her eyes are so beautiful. So pure and innocent. Who ever ruined her is dead. Poor girl might not even have a mate she was so close to death.
"Hello Chase. I heard we we're really close when I was younger. I wish I could remember I'm sorry." She whispers pulling her hand back and landing flat footed.
"It's okay Stormy I didn't expect you to." Sadly my expectations were correct.
She walks closer and gives me a soft hug.
"I love this pup!"
In confusion I step back from the hug and shake my head.
"Pack! I've met my wolf!" Stormy screams and spins around.
The pack erupts with screams and and yells.
"Oh sweetie that's great! What's her name?" Father asks.
What Stormy said next changed everything. No one expected it. It's changed my life. Our packs fate.
"His name is Dante."
"Dante such a perfect name for a strong wolf."
It's was like my Alpha was drooling all over my brain. I couldn't focus on the packs cheering just Stormy.
