"Push one more Storm!" My father screams at me.
We have been training for I think about 12 hours. My body is breaking down. I'm tired, hot, and sweaty. I can't do this anymore but I have to because I refuse to let my dad down.
"Stop. She can't take it anymore! Your pushing her to hard!" Ace yells as my arms cry for help by shaking on the 102 pull up.
"What did you just say to me pup." My father growls back.
I can feel the tension growing. Ace's figure steps closer to the other figure.
"It's her first day! Cool it or I'll make you." His voice held power.
I drop off the bar on to my tired legs and get ready to break up a fight.
"Ace calm down I'm okay. He has the best at heart." Ace sighs loudly as his figure steps away.
I smile to myself knowing that he wanted to please me. That what I said stopped his wolf from attacking. I had some sort of control over him.
My fathers figure starts to walk away.
"I need some air." His mumbling was soft but angry.
I take a deep breath before reaching back up for the bar above my head. Just as my finger tips touch the bar. Ace's strong voice speaks up.
"What the hell do you think your doing?" His figure gets closer to me and he wraps his right arm around my waist.
I let him do so because well if we're 100% honest, I was exhausted and his embrace gives me some sort of energy to make it back to the house.
Ace's body temperature drops as we walk back to the house telling me that he has calmed down from his disagreement with my dad.
"I'm proud of you by the way." He gives me a quick squeeze around my waist.
His little squeeze sent a twisty feeling to my tummy but I don't understand why he's proud of me. What have I done that's so amazing? I'm just being me trying my hardest like every other warrior is. Nothing new to be proud of.
"Your taking everything so well," He stops us from walking and steps in front of me to grab my hands gently. "Stop acting like your not special! You were blind all your life but now your vision is magically coming back and your chill. You were the strongest and smartest wolf I've ever seen when you were completely blind. Now your unexpectedly gaining eye sight and becoming the strongest wolf in history and you're just chilling." I can feel the happiness in his voice.
He sounds like a dad after his son made his every first touchdown.
All I can do is smile at him. Its amazing to know someone believes in me. Not only that but it's Ace believing in me. There's no explanation for why but it just is better to know I'm something to him. Not just pack dead weight. Ace wraps his arm back around my waist and starts to walk. He mumbled something quietly that I'm sure I wasn't supposed to hear.
"You'll always be something to me." I choose to ignore what he said because I'm too tired to do anything at the moment. My arms feel like cooked noodles.

I sit in Sterlings stall as he eats his dinner. We just got back from a long ride. It was to escape from my father. He's crazed with me working out and running, but my body couldn't take it. So we took a soft slow ride past a river into a field full of flowers. I think I finally understand why werewolves need horses. To have a relaxation and a true friend who isn't going to compete against you. His dark figure minds his own business as he eats.
"Chase calm down! Do you think I have a choice? That I would've pick her if I did?" Ace's voice echoes in the barn.
I hold my breath so they can't hear me because well I wanna easedrop on them.
"I think there's a simple solution to it," Chase sounds mad. "If it's a problem for all of us just reject her!" Are they talking about Ace's mate?
     Wait Ace has a mate?
"I can't do that! I won't do that!" Ace's calm collected voice become stern and loud.
Their heavy footsteps stop right by Sterling's stall. Just my luck.
"You won't do it because you love her! Just admit it Ace! Your just scared. I'm not gonna let you be with her if your not even sure you want to be! She deserves better than that and we both know it!" Who the hell are they talking about?
"I don't love her. Love is weak. It's just she makes me different when I'm around her. A feeling I get around her." Ace does have a mate.
I'm not going to lie. I'm sad it's not me, but of course the moon goddess would have him with someone stronger more like him I guess.
"Your different around her because she's your mate! It's called love and it's not making you weak. AND Since you met her you've gotten stronger." Chase seems to be more into Ace being with his mate.
He doesn't seem to dislike Ace's mate, it sounds like he doesn't like Ace with her and Ace flat out doesn't seem to want her.
"Chase I can't. I just can't be with her. It's wrong." Ace's body giggles the door to the stall when he leans against it as he talks.
"ACE you have the girl that every guy is praying to all gods for including me and that is saying a lot and you think it's a mistake? You think she's not ready? She's stronger than all the warriors combine! Get over yourself." I think it's time for me to get out of here before I'm stuck in a wolf fight.
This girl must be amazing. If she's got Chase swooning over her too than definitely something special.
I suck in a breath relief hits my body. Maybe holding your breath that long is bad.
"Okay too far. She's mine. No one should be thinking of her like that except me." Ace pushes off the door and doorsteps walk away.
Sterling's figure puts his head up to see where he's going.
"They wouldn't if you just told her. Than you both can tell the pack that you and St-" his voice was muffled by something so I couldn't hear.
The door opens to Sterling's stall.
"Hey Stormy what are you doing out here so late?" Chase asks as two figures stand in front of me.
"I heard everything you said." I know that's what he was wondering.
Their breathing and heartbeats get faster. Somethings up. Why are they hiding his mate?
"Look we can explain." They say at the same time.
"It's fine. I don't want you too. It's Ace's problem it's none of my business." I put my hand up as a signal to help me up.
Ace's hand helps me up. Of course because of the butterflies but he has a mate so they have to stop.
Once I'm pulled up. I start to head out of the stall. It's time for me to go to bed. I hear heavy footsteps following behind me. The smell of mint and fire hit my nose.
"Ace what's up?" His hand gently makes contact with my hip.
"I wish I could tell you why but I can't. I will someday but just today I can't." He whispers quietly.
You could hear the desperation in his voice. He sounds broken. I turn around to face the poor boy with a broken heart.
"It's okay. I told you it's fine. It's your life." I grab his hand that was on my waist and hold it in mine.
"If it's anything, I think you should just trust the moon goddess and be with your mate." I give him a soft smile and set his hand back down at his waist.
His heart beat almost stops and his breathing in nonexistent. His figure wasn't moving. He looked like a statue.
"Let's get you to the house. You've had a long day." He puts a hand on my shoulder as he walks in the direction of the house.
