The sound of my shoes walking down the long dark hallway was haunting. I could smell the blood and fear from all our prisoners in the cells.
"He's in F5. I don't know why I waited for you I should've finished him when I could." Chase was cranky and gave me a dark look.
"You waited because you're my best friend and your little sister is my mate." I pat him on the back as I continue to walk by him.
F5. I look through the bared window, silvery blonde hair catches my eye. I pull open the heavy metal door and take I step in. The so called Doctor was chained to a wall by steel chains covered in wolfsbane.
"Didn't go as you planned did it?" I chuckle to get his attention.
The man looks up at me with hate. Like I was the one who killed his mates mother and brother and attempted to kill her.
"You were afraid of them huh?" The man still gives me no answer.
At this point Chase and a few of his boys have made their way in to the musty cell.
"We are not keeping you here just to look pretty," Chase growls. "You better start talking before it gets real unpretty."
"I'd never tell you anything!" He spits out.
Chase smirks and walks up to my side. Chase's mother and brother were killed. His sister was severely hurt. Chase was hurting more than anyone. He's getting answers.—————————Stormy——————
My eyes flutter open from a dreamless sleep. The familiar smell of Ace fills my noses as my eyes meet the sight of his ceiling.
"I'm sorry Stormy. I lost control. He killed me, and mom. He was going to kill the only family we had left." Dante says.
We killed all those poor wolfs. Men,women, daughters, sons, mothers, fathers! How could we? How does that make it right?
Flashes of the people buried around my feet come back in. I start remembering how I felt after I saw the innocent people laying there.
They were only fighting for what they felt was right.
I pull my legs up to my chest and hold them as I fight to keep my tears in. I block Dante from speaking. I block out all sound. I try and keep my eyes open because each time I shut them I can see the face of a killed victim.
All I can do is sit there. There's no going back in time or bringing them back. I just have to sit here.
Warm arms are thrown around my body and I'm pulled into a warm chest. The smell of fire. Ace.
"Shh hey baby girl. I'm here it's okay." He whispers as he wipes my tears.
Ace sits down Indian style on his bed and pulls me into his lap. He cradles me like you would a newborn baby as he whispers soft nothings into my ear.
"I don't wanna be a wolf anymore," I sob into his chest. "I want to to stop. I want to be human."
Humans never cause harm. Not to other humans. If I was human I wouldn't have to worry about a wolf stealing my mind and killing hundreds of people!
"Oh yeah? Then where'd Dante go?" He whispers.
He lays us down on the bed with me on top of him. His fingers run through my white brown hair.
"You wouldn't be my mate... I would have someone else." He smirks.
I growl just at the mire thought of someone else touching Ace let alone being his.
"See, werewolves aren't all bad." He kisses my forehead.
"No Ace! You're not bad. Dante killed all those people!"
"All those people killed him! And your mom!" Ace snapped causing me to whimper. "I'm sorry Storm but open your eyes!"
He's words his me in the face like a brick. He was right. Dante did what he felt was right. No one can hurt us anymore. Except that man. Where did he go? Did he get away? Ace stiffens tell me that he's in my mind. Again.
I look into his eyes and try to get into his. He has to know where he is. I dig at his mind but he has his walls up and I'm not strong enough to go through.
"I got it sis."
Dante bust through his walls and starts listening to his thoughts.
"Stormy." Ace growls.
If Ace is in my head he would in fact know we're in his mind.
"Why are you mad? You do it to me all the time!" I yell standing up.
"I do it to protect you! I keep you out to protect you!" He yells back.
"He's in F5 cell." Dante piped in but I'm to angry to listen.
"Hey wake up! I don't need you to protect me!"
"Yes you do. You're still weak! Mentally you're still hurt! You need me!" He takes a large step at me so my back is against the wall.
His breath was fanning across my face as his eyes stare deeply into mine with a dark type of look.
"Stormy. You. Need. Me." He reaches up and pushes my hair out of my face to behind my ear.
My face feels hot. The heat started in my face then traveled all throughout my body and became a throbbing sensation. Without thinking my body pushed closer to him.
I saw a smirk break to his face knowing he won.
Ace slides his hand down so it holding the back of my neck. Holding to insure I was only paying attention to him and only him.
"You need my Storm. Because if I walk away from you right now you're going to feel like you're on fire. The only thing you're going to want is me," he leans down and kisses my neck setting fire throughout my skin. "Wanna see?"
He picks me up so my legs are around his waist and it felt so good to be closer. But before I knew it he tosses me on the bed. My skin burns and my body drags to him.
Ace knew what was happening. He only chuckled and walks to the door.
"When you change your mind about needing me you know where I am." I watch him as he shuts the door.
My skin is burning. It feels like it's boiling off my body. The only thing I can think about is Ace. I refuse to let him win. I'm stronger than this.
"Dante help me please!" I cry out as I curl up on Ace's bed.
"I can't help your pain but I have an idea to get Ace to break. You're in a heat. You're the only effected one because I'm a dude so I don't get that," Dante says. "So I can think straight."
Dante put up a wall so Ace wouldn't be able to get into my head while he explains the plan to me.————————-Ace——————
I put Stormy into a heat. She pissed me off, saying she doesn't need me. I'm doing everything I can for her. She's being ungrateful.
After I left the room I made sure Beta was still listening to her to be sure she's okay. Then I headed down to meet Chase in the cellar.
He was standing in front of the man who was beaten and burned. Has yet to talk though.
"Just kill him Chase. He's no help. There's no one left in his pack. He just wants us to fear there is." I growl as I walk to his side.
Chase looks at me with a smirk and starts to shift. I saw a fear in the evil mans eyes that I haven't seen before. Afraid of death. He knew we wouldn't kill him but now he's not sure.
I step close in bend down to eye level with him.
"You hurt my mate. You killed her mom and brother. Not to mention you killed Chase's mate to," the ugly man snaps his head up in shock. "Yeah... didn't think we'd figure that one out huh. We know why you're so afraid of them." I snickered.
"Hurry it up. There's a problem with Storm!" Beta clicks in with panic.
I stand up and give Chase the signal to kill him as I walk out the door acting calm and collected. Even though I was worried about Storm.
As soon as the door closes I take off to find Storm. I didn't have to look very far. As she was right in the main room. With Willam another unmated warrior. She was standing all too close to him for my comfort.
"Stormy." I growl.
I know she heard me but she ignores me and continues to talk to him. Beta starts to rally up attempting to break out.
I calm him down and order him to get into her head to see what she's thinking. But he comes back with nothing. Saying her wall was up.
Stormy reaches up and puts her hand on his chest as she giggles. As soon as her hand touches his chest I ran and caught it before it touches.
"Let's go." I growl deeply.
When I start to walk away she tries to pull from me. I don't know what her deal is or how she's pulling against the heat enough to pull away from me but it's hot.
I smirk at her. As I watch her eyes scan over my body and back up to mine.
"Ace it's fine. She's no bother to me." Willam says with gross intensions.
I ignore him only to keep my anger at bay because I'm not letting anything get in between Stormy and I.
"Yeah Ace. I'm no bother to him." Storm sasses.
I let out a growl and wrap my arms around her waist and throwing her over my shoulder before she can protest.
This is about to get exciting.
