This is more than yandere, and this turns many off from romance related rps.

Forced ships, when some body tries to force someone elses oc to be with there's romantically.  Sometimes during the rp. Sometimes in addition they will flood oc owners inbox. Or they may even flood anyone they perceive as competition for said oc trying to make them back down.

Now one of my answers if asked to back down is, Let's see what happens.
Or I am not my oc. Or talk to the oc owner. Especially if the ship has yet to sail.

I generally as far as my ships with my ocs prefer to see ocs gradually grow together due to some sort of spark or chemistry.  Sometimes the sweetest ships start out as good friends or have something in common.

But when you force the ship, it looks unnatural, generally the owner of the oc that gave in posts less or uses it less. Why cause forced ships lack the fun of falling in love. It's like a bad arranged marriage you see in a story.

Now if you turn down a forced ship, understand most who try an force ships say they have panic attacks an what not.  Understand in real life if you get in a relationship or stay cause your partner may panic, this will be a toxic relationship. And it could be for your oc too.

Forced ships take the fun out of the romance in an rp. Part of the fun of getting in a relationship is winning them, or being won. Then The growth.
Forced ships stop this. Forced ships an smut are partly behind the rise in rps that do not allow romance at all.
And in some rps, you'll get kicked out for forcing it.

And lastly if you need to force a ship cause its your only joy in life.
Then you need to reevaluate your priorities. At no point should other ocs replace real people and relationships.

And it is not my job to cater to a forced ship, nor is it anyone else's job. I am not responsible for your or your ocs happiness.
