a ranting of issues in role play
Also known as how not to tick off your fellow rpers, kill your or others roleplays,
This book is now a 3 or 4 year old in progress compiling
I'm back with another round of issues. Though odds are I'm repeating myself. But due to COVID, there is an increase of rp activity and with it a repeat or increase in cringy issues. So let us dive in shall we.
Insta pregnancy The art of learning your character is pregnant right after they are laid.
According to the American Pregnancy Association, blood tests for hCG levels should be accurate 11 days after conception, while it would be best to wait 12–14 days before taking a urine test.
Some women may notice symptoms as early as 5 DPO, although they won't know for certain that they are pregnant until much later. Early signs and symptoms include implantation bleeding or cramps, which can occur 5–6 days after the sperm fertilizes the egg. Other early symptoms include breast tenderness and mood changes.
You should wait to take a pregnancy test until the week after your missed period for the most accurate result. If you don't want to wait until you've missed your period, you should wait for at least one to two weeks after you had sex. If you are pregnant, your body needs time to develop detectable levels of HCG.
Sorry ladies. You would not know your knocked up, right after doing the deed. And if your Oc is pregnant I hope you got permission from the role-play admin. Cause some rps have no time for babies. (For questioning why see my chappy on useless ocs)
Triggers If your oc is going to be a trigger warning or do a trigger behavior. Give a warning or get permission.
Saying you didn't know anyone would be upset, and doing it is not an excuse to. Suicide, cutting, eating disorders, r@pe, and in some cases abortion, and miscarriage are among some of the triggering topics.
Come on do you really want to role-play these topics without warning so badly, your willing to risk triggering someone to cut, or worse commit suicide. It has happened to people on here.
If you must insist, get your admins approval, and put a trigger warning up. And yes using a knife to carve a tattoo into your oc is still gonna trigger a cutter.
Forced relationship
Unless this is planned as a plot thing with the ok of another OC's admin, at no time is it ok to try to force people to be in a relationship with your own. It's not cool. It's annoying, and in some cases triggering. It's worse if you're trying to force a relationship and force a love triangle.
No one wants to be forced, pushed, or to have to be expected to suddenly like someone's oc. This goes for any type of romantic relationship. I've had a person try to force ship my straight oc with hers the day after my oc lost her mate. Then the person had her oc run into danger or have a tantrum every time my oc mentioned the dead, whom babies she was carrying. {see force shipping and see the Chihuahua chappy}
